People who don’t understand that orv is a love story really confuse me. Not only is it stated multiple times by constellations and “characters” that there’s something going on between kdj and yjh but even the AuthorTM [hsy] says they look/act like a married couple.
There is more to love and devotion than blatant declarations of sexual interest.
Not only that, but the whole of twsa is written for dkj. And if the intended audience is ONE PERSON then we can apply any subtle queue as being directly for dkj. Like how everyone’s attractiveness is compared to yjh.
Everything dkj does is for yjh. To make the regressions mean something. To help save the world and all the people who have ever mattered to yjh. That’s the crux of dkj’s goal. To give a satisfying ending to yjh. Not for himself or for the greater audience, yjh only.
But real talk—kdj is bisexual. He’s constantly floored by beautiful people regardless of gender
A large part of me wonders if kdj wasn’t an unreliable narrator of the story (if the forth wall didn’t force disassociation on him) how many people would still be able to argue there’s nothing between kdj and yjh? Also, speaking of the fourth wall—it’s the reason people think kdj is ugly. Because it blurs his face. Like come onnnnn. He’s gorgeous and the 4thwall is a gatekeeper
But for real for real—it’s crazy how much foreshadowing I’m seeing now that I’m rereading. And people have the gal to say it’s not a romance?
I can’t get over how /jealous/ yjk gets. Like it’s hilariously obvious. And on top of that, Mia calling him out on him being soft for kdj?? Classic
AND we don’t talk about “Incarnation Kim Dokja will be killed by the person he loves most.” enough. And they have multiple chapters dedicated to the fate storyline… where it is stated over and over that it’s the one kdj loves most. And is heavily implied romantic love
