1.) Never apologize for something that isn’t your fault. 2.) If you’re always venting to someone, make sure to ask them how they’re doing every once in a while. 3.) Taking the risk pays off more times than it doesn’t. 4.) You are going to be surrounded by people who are trying to figure out who they are. Focus on your own growth. 5.) No one will ever remember: that pimple you had, that time no one laughed at your joke, when the teacher called on you and you didn’t know the answer, etc. 6.) Use your discretion and be responsible. Never drive while intoxicated or get in a car with an intoxicated driver. 7.) Learn to assert your own opinion without discrediting someone else’s. 8.) If someone disrespects you, politely cut them out of your life. 9.) Don’t be in fake friendships. 10.) No matter what you do, someone out there is going to criticize it, so you may as well do whatever the fuck you want (as long as it’s responsible and reasonable). 11.) Have at least one good adventure. 12.) Everything will pass.
