asking for help is an act of bravery. it is acknowledging that some things are too heavy to bear on your own whether it be the timing or the circumstances or just because you’re tired. but whichever one it is: you are never weak, unintelligent or undeserving for needing or wanting help. you weren’t made to carry the weight of this world and this life on your own.

Accidentally annoying someone doesn't make you a horrible person and you don't have to spend your whole life censoring yourself to prevent it from ever happening.

One day I wanna be rich enough that I can just like. Give away hundreds of thousands of dollars every year in like scholarships or grants or whatever. That when I see someone make a post like “hey can I get $50 for groceries” I can just donate $1000. Or tip my server their rent money. Like that’s the dream

Not as big and flashy but there are charities such as RIP Medical Debt. They buy up medical debt at discount debt-collector prices but instead of trying to collect, they just forgive it. Donate $10 and you can wipe out $1,000 of someone’s medical debt. This is the only one I know of, but I believe there are others.

i’m so thankful we’re alive to smell flowers and touch saltwater and get chilled in the breeze and take deep breaths and make foods warm with love and dance and laugh and move and wake up and dig our hands in dirt and eat strawberries and draw mindlessly and remember and sing and joke and walk down the same street again and again and make meaning. we are so lucky we get to be and feel and keep going

reading alone in your room at sunset with your windows open in summer while the wind caresses your skin is probably the closest thing we have to a cure for the human condition

no, i don’t have a “dream job.” i want to spend my days reading and writing and lazing in the afternoon sun. i want to bake bread and brownies and apple crumble. i want to grow my own vegetables and plant a rainbow of flowers. i want to be with nature. i want to be at peace.
