“real people can’t queerbait” discourse is whatever, i agree that the term isn’t supposed to describe real people’s presentation/behavior HOWEVER whatever you want to call it, there is something harmful when real celebrities knowingly play into homophobic/fetishistic stereotypes. i don’t really care if a cishet man wants to explore androgynous fashion but i do care when it looks like someone has built a personal brand around being, say, the uwu small cute omega who needs a big strong muscle man, regardless of that person’s identity (none of my business) bc in those cases you’re feeding into a really creepy rhetoric. then again that’s my beef with the whole BL industry and i accept i have already lost that battle

you know i love a good dunk on taylor swift but ppl talking about her album vs kpop demon hunters on the charts like it’s not a total mid-off… PLEASE it’s not like “golden” is a lyrical masterpiece by any stretch of the imagination

i wish i were someone who could move on from things. alas every obsession i’ve had only ever remains dormant

i’ve honestly picked the worst time to start watching the kpop music shows again because it just goes back and forth between idols trying really hard to be from california in the early aughts and then a song that does fit the more familiar kpop formula but in the most boring way possible
