Then going to Nora's death and resurrection... So secret family having Barry in this also Nora is really important to the league 🤭.

Earth-X: The Earth that everyone in the multiverse avoids. The Thawnes, the main benefactors of the fascist regime, had two identical sons–Malcolm and Barry. Malcolm is the perfect son–ruthless, vicious, and loyal to Dark Arrow. Barry, on the other hand, is quiet, compassionate, thoughtful, and believes that the regime is evil and needs to be torn down.
When the Thawnes find out that Barry is bisexual, they realize that it’s the perfect opportunity to get rid of him. Barry barely gets away with his life, only to be captured by the resistance. Knowing he’s a Thawne, they plan to use him against his family until they find out about the disgraced Thawne son. Citizen Cold, of all people, speaks up on his behalf, believing that Barry is different than the rest of his family. So, Barry Thawne joins the resistance.
He and Leo Snart get closer, Barry taking on the name ‘Scarlet Spirit’, after Leo’s nickname for him and his ability to sneak around and collect info without being caught. Eventually, both admit to each other that their feelings have grown past being brothers-in-arms. Less than a year later, the two get married.
From there, however, their troubles grow. Malcolm has been tasked with tracking down his twin brother. Barry refuses to kill his own brother. Malcolm has no such indecision.
Years pass, and Leo forces himself to move on from his dead husband. He meets Ray Terrill, who helps him heal from the pain of his loss, and by surprise, he falls in love again.
Then, another Earth’s Barry gets dragged to Earth-X…
sorry but it just occurred to me that after finding out the flash's identity, len most definitely did an extensive deep dive on barry. this is just a headcanon but i feel like joe posted online about some of the big moments his kids had growing up, so len would have found a video of teenage barry singing on stage at a high school event. he would have found pictures of barry dressed in ridiculous costumes after he landed another part in yet another school play. he would have found candid photos, small glimpses into his life — joe didn't post a lot, but whatever he posted was meaningful.
at first i was like haha len realizing how big of a nerd barry it is but now i'm kind of emotional because i can see len leaning back in his chair as he listens to barry sing. he scrolls and there's another reminder that barry is loved. that barry is different, and that len needs to stay far away from his light, because he couldn't bear to ruin it.
but also pictures of barry in cosplay. that's all.

I’m sorry, but the ColdFlash shipper in me can absolutely not be normal about a Commander Cold from the future, who is a law-enforcer named Henry and looks like Barry. I am currently making the most squeaky noises in my head.
Theory: There is no Ao3 curse. It is, in fact, Ao3 luck.
Evidence #1: I got knocked to the ground yesterday, onto concrete and falling forward, nobody at fault because shit happens sometimes. And all I got was a couple of bruises, a scraped elbow, and some pulled muscles. Plus, going into shock, which was great fun (sarcasm intended) and an accurate source to describe from for future fics (genuine).
Evidence #2: All the wild stories that Ao3 authors share ultimately have the same conclusion: they can still write fics (except for the deaths, but people dying isn't a curse; it's a natural consequence of life). Weird shit happens sometimes, but nine times out of ten, we're able to keep doing this thing we love. If that's not incredible luck, then I don't know what is.
Hanahaki disease is a psychosomatic illness. It's a thing that your body does in response to stress over constantly repressing/concealing your feelings in settings with high background magic. It's like you've been ignoring pain for a long time and suddenly your vision starts going dark, because your affected body is just YANKING on random alerts trying to get you to PAY ATTENTION there is a PROBLEM. Yes the flowers do really exist. So do non-magical psychosomatic symptoms. The flowers aren't special.
This does of course open up the trope to options for non-romantic concealed feelings. Which I think is great. There is something viscerally satisfying about the person who seems so outwardly chipper coughing and hacking and spitting up Depression Flowers so now everyone has to know they're hurting. Isn't there?

Quitting cigarettes cold turkey while braving exterior stress can make your health worse should you relapse.
Consider counting cigarette intake down before quitting entirely. So you don't have intense panic attacks.
You often need to be stable to quit. It is okay when you aren't.
