now i’m not heavily involved in the cats fandom, i’ve never seen it live before (will be next month) and the only costumes i’ve seen have been from the broadway and original productions so idk what my opinion is worth

but i feel like now with the current west end costumes revealed people are forgetting it’s gonna be performed in an open air theatre without air conditioning during the hottest time of the day in uk summer. being covered in fur isn’t an option, imagine wearing a thick maned wig dancing around a stage in 30°c heat

#can’t even name all the cats and have only heard half the songs. i like leaving things as a surprise for when i see em live #i don’t know how covered the stage is so it could be different and this means nothing. but still!! it’s outside! no access to ac!#obvi people are free to have opinions and i do have opinions about the costumes #could they have done better? yeah. they look very cheaply made lol #but it’s only a limited run and it’s a ‘revival’. it won’t be an exact replica #i’m sure whatever the reviews are they’ll be different for the uk tour anyway being performed in covered air conditioned theatres #cats the musical #zkye yaps
