Here’s the combined result of over 50 hours of work- my artistic interpretation of every mission from chapter 1 of rdr2. It was originally @photo1030’s idea to put them together but I ended up making more of a collage than a storyboard.

It feeds into the mood of the scene. Unselfconscious, which is exactly the right tone. Stede and Ed are world-building in their own private bubble. Are they aware Lucius is there still? They’re not the Gentleman Pirate and Blackbeard, the masks are coming off. Two mates - relaxed, bantering, ribbing each other, flirty-bickering… there’s so much familiarity and relatability going on.

Sure, Ed’s verbally peacocking and posturing a little, but Stede’s so there for it and more than a match. Ed controls the narrative initially, but Stede quietly steals it, playing along with Ed’s unconventional restaurant set-up, before blindsiding him with a fictional meet-cute which saves the day and lights up Ed’s brain.

And forget the marmalade, I want Ed’s ‘Awww…!’ on toast.
