i feel like im 15 again obsessing over these characters i lovedddd the characterization they gave us in this ep so much. seeing how rose, jack and sophie all dealt with their grief in different ways was so interesting to me. rose's reaction was totally understandable. i actually think she shouldve been angrier. she couldve killed felix in cold blood and i wouldve cheered her on #ngl. this ep was so tragic but i love how they showed her descent into madness after edd and molly's death i think it was rly well done. also the way they divided it into the stages of grief but left out the very last one: acceptance. because she never finds it. oughh god that hurt. plus the leadup to her own death was done masterfully.. i was on the edge of my seat the whole time. she makes me so so so sad.. rosemary get behind me !!!!!!!!

jack and sophie's reactions were understandable too, though. jack trying his best to keep the peace in the household while his wife is devastated and his daughter is on edge and confused about the whole situation by sortof ignoring and repressing his own feelings about edd and molly's death is just such an interesting aspect of his character to me.. he tries to make light of a horrific situation cuz he just wants the best for his family and wants to help them move on. this is also maybe why he refused to press charges on felix...(edit: that being said upon further reflection the way he was so dismissive about the whole situation was pretty strange. we don’t know enough about him yet to know if he was really doing it in an attempt to keep his family afloat or if he had ulterior motives… he was obv hiding something from rose and sophie, something that potentially caused his disappearance, but we still don’t know what that is. it’s hard to give a solid explanation for why he acted the way he did. but we’ll just have to wait for further eps i guess.) ive always loved jack as a character n this ep really gave us a lot of characterization for him which wasnt all too present in the previous eps so i loved that. when they showed his disappearance my jaw dropped bro #imsofuckingscared what happened to him i need answers.

i really resonated with sophie in this ep, though. the way she processed her siblings' deaths was so realistic to me because i went through something very similar when i was her age. it felt like i was seeing myself reflected in her n she was saying all the things little me wasn't able to express n it made me feel rly seen. esp her not being able to fully comprehend that her siblings are really dead, and not being able to mourn them ''properly'' like her parents were. when she said ''it's like theyre not even gone, just away.'' I FELT THATTTTTT and i think its something a lot of ppl who've dealt w grief before can comprehend. idk i think it was executed really well. and that scene where rose catches her in the attic watching her and jack's old wedding film made me soooo :((((( i teared up i cant lie. ough.,, i love u soapie pls dont die...
