Im tired, (if i followed my natural sleep rythmn, i would be asleep by now), so correct me if I'm wrong but anon is acting like the whole fandom is being called misogynists like the arguments are weighted to the point of imbalance is along the lines of extremism.

They act almost as if they're hiding personal offence, as if calling the clearly misogynistic part of the fandom is calling out anon (because it is, since they're part of that crowd.) Not all misogyny is blatantly obvious to all people. Misogynists likely (i wouldn't know since im not one) likely feel something akin to white guilt, which can be felt on subtle, even subconscious level. Just because you're not clearly attacking woman in the streets doesn't mean you dont have to get a grip. Its 'not all men' as if it not being every last one means that it shouldn't be seen as a problem as a whole, one that's too large.

The language makes it blatantly obvious...'comparing him to literal rapists' versus 'annoying and baby.' Its disgusting how rape culture hasn't changed for the better at all: rape is taken seriously now but, unfortunately, to a continued misogynistic level—rape is considered serious as an accusation that are seen as blaming/victimising men when theyre literally trying to shed light on a very serious issue.

Ive also seen people (unfortunately) using media literacy as an insult when its actually something really important, somewhat ruining what I'm trying to say here: people comparing him to a rapist doesn't mean his literal actions in canon are on that level. The media literacy part is that it represents rape, just like how abstraction isnt just some sort of glitch but is a metaphor for suicide. Its not far fetched at all because when people 'compare him to literal rapists,' its from the part of canon that can be interpreted as symbolising it. Gangle in particular (while I'm not very well versed in rape victim psychology) was shown as worrying about jax even when he wasn't there, and its clear he left a lasting impact on her, likely trauma. Their characters have a complex interaction that I feel mirrors the emotional abuse that comes with rape (again correct me if I'm wrong!!!). I can see why this also might not be the case, based on who jax is meant to represent and how the plot's suspense reveals tension in how jax is likely going to reform as the narrative makes sympathy for jax and jax is a main character (confirmed), which can also still be debatable (I'm not stating an opinion on this part specifically, just showing both interpretations and saying I fall somewhere on this since im undecided/want to see how the final episode will resolve this. The narrative making sympathy for jax can definitely be critiqued)

Some people do demonise jax and some people also demonise ragatha but it doesn't erase how demonising jax originates from trying to protect women from misogy through feminism while demonising regatta comes from that misogyny. The middle ground is not denying that jax is problematic. The middle ground is realising that Jay's misogyny is a very large issue and one that i think goose is intending to resolve, especially how goose said that jax reminds her of herself pre-transition, to make an example out of him and show character development.
