LOOK ASTROPONYDUDE/ ASTROPONY
Just joking this is real one 👇
Can I ask how tall Astrodude is compared to the Sun? I know you’ve mentioned that stars live near volcanoes and astrodude had to climb into one for a therapy session but I can’t imagine the size difference
Size comparison - Sun/Astrodude
Sun isn't so much tall as long. He won't grow any bigger.
Solarballs just dropped a size comparison video, and now we finally know Astrodude's actual height! Though I guess it could just be the average height for earthlings. Then again, spacesuits are strictly custom-made for people of a specific height and build, so yeah, I’m totally sure that's his real height.
But honestly, I’m kinda bummed they didn’t show the black hole. They're just straight-up acting like nothing happened.
Though I have a feeling it’s just a marketing stunt to keep the audience hooked
CUUUUTEEE 😭😭😭
The whole Solar System: We absolutely hate earthlings for blocking out the Sun with solar panels.
The Solar System at the same time: ASTRODUUUUDE!!! HIIIII <3
that moment when the celestials completely forget and just refuse to see Astrodude as an earthling, even though they literally know he's from Earth.

WE NEED MORE ASTRODUDE CONTENT! 😭🥺
Can he show the planets magic tricks???
TOTALY AGREE we need way more content with him! It’s so great that my favorite character is officially getting his own movie.
And regarding the planets' reactions yeah, Astrodude definitely knows a couple of card tricks. The planets, on the other hand, are super easily impressed because they’ve never seen anything like it. They’d genuinely think Astrodude is using actual magic, lol. Venus would probably be terrified that Astrodude might turn him into an asteroid lmao
Headcanon: Astrodude could totally beat Luna in solarcards, and then teach the other planets different strategies just so Luna would lose more often.
In the future:
Earth: It’s terrifying to see what my earthlings development has led to. This is awful... They blocked out the Sun with these massive solar panels. They never even fixed their environmental issues. And worst of all, they won’t even listen to me anymore.
Luna: Don't lose hope, Earth! Maybe-just maybe-they'll understand and put an end to all this. I mean, they can't just not care about the feelings of living beings like us!
Mars: Unfortunately, that's highly unlikely, Luna... Sometimes it feels like their easiest way out is just moving to a new planet every single time. And there's probably no hero among them who would stand up against everyone else for our sake-especially for someone they don't even know.
Luna: ...Astrodude would do it. He knows us well, and he'll always be on the right side!
Jupiter: I'm sorry, Luna, but you know he's been missing for a long time. No one knows where he is and even if they did... Astrodude can overcome a lot of things, but he can't beat time. I'm so sorry.
*A strange flash opens up, and Astrodude flies out, crashing down*
Astrodude: Hey guys! Think I just time-traveled. What's up?
Headcanon: celestial bodies have super-vision. If they stare out into the distance long enough, they can see exactly what's going down out there (which is how the rogue planets and planet X kept tabs on the solar system). Also, celestials can see every single star and all the nebulas in outer space, while earthlings can only see star's thanks to Earth's atmosphere refracting the light.
They can also spot tiny creatures like Astrodude, who are literally billions of times smaller than them. However, staring at microscopic things for too long can totally ruin their super-vision, or just cause major eye strain because their eyesight is so sharp. That’s why Jupiter wears glasses when reading, and Neptune-whose moons are mostly tiny too-might wear glasses just to give his eyes a break.
But you’ll probably ask: why doesn’t Saturn wear glasses if he has a ton of tiny moons then? Guys, he lost them lol.
It’s also possible that Sun sees way better than the planets, and black holes see way better than any of the stars.
Maybe I misunderstood the headcanon, but irl if you are in space or on the moon you can still see stars, just not as well as with the telescopes on our planet. Is that what you meant or did you mean that you headcanon that humans can only see stars when on earth and otherwise can't if in space or on the moon? (stars except the Sun, of course)
Thanks for pointing that out! I think I just phrased it wrong, and translating it into English made it even more confusing, so yeah, I guess I make factual mistakes sometimes. But I’m technically right about Astrodude not being able to see stars during the day on Luna because of the bright sunlight, so the mini-comic is actually correct.
Have Earth or Mars ever given Astrodude a ride? (imagine their flight like the "Test Drive" scene in HTTYD)
In most cases - Earth (or Luna).
Mars let him ride too but only a couple of times. He still doesn't fully understand people and their aspirations.
Considering that humans and solardragons aren't fully accustomed to such a symbiosis, his Test Drive would be smth like this:
Luna feels awkward because Astrodude almost died again, even though it’s technically his fault lol

When I saw your post where the planets are dragons and Earth steals Astrodude’s boot. ¿¿¿solardragons???
a funny idea popped into my head! If Earth wanted to give Astrodude a ride, he’d probably drop him mid-air first and then catch him just as a joke lol.
Also, do you think the dragons would actually let Astrodude ride them???
Yes, it's very similar to what Earth would do! Hahah
Mars and Mercury would agree. Mercury is a pretty fast guy, Mars is more resilient. Their flight will be quite comfortable. They would both make excellent companions in Astrodude's (or Fantasydude's) constant wanderings.
Earth is a wonderful flier among the Rockies as well as moderately curious and obsessed with humans. He’ll be happy to give someone a ride, but there’s always a good chance he’ll want to show off his skills right during the flight. It’s worth preparing for this.
Venus - absolutely not. This guy has a strong character and he doesn’t consider himself ”a riding pony” at all. Besides he won't let everyone near him. Even if Dude manages to persuade him somehow, it's worth considering that Venus’s scales are very prickly and hard — he can't do it without a saddle. The second goal of life will be to convince him to put on a “stupid“ saddle.
But with the Giants everything is much more complicated. They're huge and have a different texture of scales. It's practically impossible for a person to stay on them without special equipment. Giants respect human beings; of course, they would agree with a noticeable concern (especially Jupiter and Saturn).
For such a flight the researcher would have to chain himself to the saddle. Even with all that flying them would be epic. However it would be problematic to give any instructions. I think small moon-dragons would be helpful. Some kind of mini-assistants. He definitely won’t forget such a flight anytime soon.
Unless Dude should remind Neptune of his presence more often — to prevent Neptune's intention to suddenly dive into some random lake during the flight.
Btw, the largest moon-dragons are more suitable candidates for riding such as Ganymede, Europa, etc. They're mobile and not that big. Perhaps in the future people will be able to gain their trust.
And about Sun... Well, star-dragons live near volcanoes and their scales are very hot. I think this attempt would have ended about the same way as TSS vs Rogues arc.
YAYYY MORE LORE, tysm for the reply!!
And yeah, about Venus, if Astrodude absolutely needed it to survive, Venus would just fly with him in his jaws. Or, if he’s too grossed out to put that in his mouth, he could just grab him with his hind paws.
about Luna he’d totally give Astrodude a ride way more often than any of the others.
Of course, in case of danger Venus will come to the rescue albeit in his own style. Fantasydude will resent Venus for a long time bc he carried him like some kind of prey.
Luna is a sensitive dragon and he understands human beings a little more than other Moon-dragons and Rockies. Almost like Earth. Dude shouldn't expect ”pranks” from him like from Earth.
Luna takes him for a ride to save him from another mess.
A little bonus - Rescue operation in the middle of The Mission to the Sun
[A man climbed into a volcano for a psychotherapy session with another father]
Astrodude would climb literally anywhere for the sake of therapy. AND OH MY GOD THIS IS BEAUTIFUL THANK YOU SO MUCH ♥️🤗

Also, celestials can see every single star and all the nebulas in outer space, while it's super hard for earthlings to spot faint stars without special telescopes, and if Sun is shining, they can only see pitch-black space.
They can also spot tiny creatures like Astrodude, who are literally billions of times smaller than them. Headcanon: if SiBO had some kind of primitive translator, its relationship with Astrodude would be just like the main duo from Project Hail Mary, except SiBO is kinda goofy/silly
Guys, did you know that rogue planets are translated as orphan planets in Russian??? They are literally orphans lol.

It would be so cute if Luna tries to protect Phobos and Deimos from Ceres.
You do remember that the moons of Earth and Mars were the first planetary moons to make contact (which happened thanks to Astrodude, by the way).
I'm sure Luna sees Phobos and Deimos as his energetic twin cousins who need constant supervision, so he's definitely going to worry about them.
I have a headcanon or rather, a proper canon in my AU, that life forms reflect the history of their planet and everything that happened to it.
For example, Earth and Luna was born from the collision and kiss of Proto and Theia, which is exactly why most creatures on Earth need a significant other to reproduce. And you could probably say that Proto and Theia's wish came true, because now billions of creatures can love, hug, and kiss as much as they want.
Also, another rule in my AU is that touch and everything else is a privilege exclusive to life forms. It kinda bugs me when animators ignore the fact that Luna can't just up and shove Earth. Maybe they do it using gravity? I sure hope so.
