it’s so frustrating bc you can and should be able to criticize a Black player and his contract. i’m not saying it's always racist to dislike a player of color. it's definitely not!

but also… i've seen the mediocre ass white players ppl welcome to their teams with open arms. without a single question about their cap hits. it's frustrating to see years of that and then it all dries up once nurse comes around. i guess i just wish ppl could spare my guy a little bit of that "yeah he sucks but he's ours now" energy

idkkkkk I just see mid white men get gushed over every fucking day on this accurséd internet without any questions about whether they’re worth the price tag. why can’t a slightly-better-than-mid Black guy get the welcome mat rolled out, you know? i know nursey’s not an rpf darling but it just makes me sad to see such an immediate negative reaction to a decent player, when other decent players who got signed on the same day got so much excitement
