Itâs just that if something funny happens on the way to the deli, youâll only tell one person about it and thatâll be Patch and Iâll never hear about it.

Throwback Review: Dreamboat Annie by Heart (1975)
Duffâs Necessary Albums Review #26
As one of the first women in (hard) rock, Heart had a few quintessential hits in their catalogs. Considered their best album, Dreamboat Annie allows Ann and Nancy Wilson to try various styles in both the vocal and guitar department respectively. Nancy in particular plays flamenco style guitars on multiple tracks which give it a bit of a folky feel. Both sisters are tremendous at what they do and it is evident on the album. It lulls in a few places, but it is a great piece for feminist rock stars.
Maybe we can call you âEl.â Short for Eleven.
I know Iâm not myself with people⌠But am I myself when alone? That seems unlikely, too.
Susan Sontag, Reborn: Journals & Notebooks (1947-1963)
Your fav is problematic: Nancy Wilson
Can play anything she picks up I wouldnât be surprised if she could play a damn didgeridoo
Whiz Fingers and The Hands of Granite
Totally adorable
Cinnamon roll
loves her fans more than anything
made an instagram for one of her dogs
can totally kick your ass
survived drugs
Doesnât act like a pretentious rockstar

You know what I would say to people who say they âhateâ Janis Joplin (her singing voice)?
Thatâs too bad, you know, because Janisâs singing is real. Nobody since her, I donât think, has managed to sing with as real a voice as Janis. It may not always be so âpretty,â but feelings arenât always so pretty, my friend, and thatâs what Janis sang with. She even said: âAll you really have that really matters are feelings. Thatâs what music is to me.âÂ
The job of a good singer is to make their audience feel something. The thing is that, what contributes to that, is that the singer also has to be feeling what theyâre singing; if theyâre not living what theyâre singing, the audience will remain unconvinced and it wonât be as enjoyable.
And god dammit, Janis Joplin outside of performing may not have appeared very real, but during her performances, you fucking saw it, you didnât just hear it (though in just recordings I think you can, for sure). She was 100% real, though this also lends listeners to either be 100% with her or 100% against her, because not everybodyâs comfortable with reality, isnât that right?
Happy Birthday again Nancy Wilson, you gigantic liar...
When we last left our fibbing guitarist she was allegedly celebrating a birthday of an advanced age, and today, March 16th, she celebrates another. Yes, this woman above claims to be 62 years old today.
Stop it, Nancy. Seriously this shit, unlike your REAL age, is old. You are not fooling anybody. Women are supposed to lie about their age THE OTHER WAY. You are supposed to claim you are YOUNGER. 62 years old? Child, please.
Happy 46th birthday.

When the Men Call You âCrazy Girlâ
Bite. Howl. Throw rocks at their useless windows,
their ugly houses.
Crack lobsters with your bare teeth
and swallow their softness
like the universeâs flesh itself.
Say I am a crazy girl.
Say it. Own it.
Say crazy means beautiful, means smart,
valid. Means not ruined.
Means you canât do this to me,
and I wonât let you.
You are salt, breath-punch, knocking-the-wind-
out-of-stubborn-men.
Silly men.
They thought crazy meant lost.
They didnât know it meant found.

SOME LEGIT MCLENNON QUOTES:
âOne of my great memories from John is from when we were having some argument. I was disagreeing and we were calling each other names. We let it settle for a second and then he lowered his glasses and he said, âItâs only meâŚâ and then he put his glasses back on again. To me, that was John.â -Paul
âWe were each otherâs intimates.â -Paul, The Beatles: A Biography
âPaul and I know each other on a lot of different levels that very few people know about.â -John
Q Magazine - 1998Â Q: âIf John Lennon could come back for a day, how would you spend it with him?â Paul: âIn bed.â
âI have had two companions in my life. Paul McCartney and Yoko Ono. Thatâs not badâ âJohn
Interview of 1975 for Hit parader Q: âYeah, your friendsâŚâ John: âYes, all your best friends let you know whatâs going on. I was trying to put it âround that I was gay, you knowâ I thought that would throw them off⌠dancing at all the gay clubs in Los Angeles, flirting with the boys⌠but it never got off the ground.â Q: âI think Iâve only heard that lately about Paul.â John: âOh, Iâve had him, heâs no good.â (laughter)Â
John talking about when Paul first joined The Quarry Men: âBut he was good, he was worth having. He looked like Elvis. I dug him.â
âWhatever bad things John said about me, he would also slip his glasses down to the end of his nose and say, âI love youâ. Thatâs really what I hold on to. Thatâs what I believe. The rest is showing off.â -Paul
âA song by an old estranged fiancee of mine called Paulâ -John speaking of âI Saw Her Standing Thereâ
âShe (Yoko) recalls hearing people in the Apple office who called McCartney âJohnâs Princess.ââ -Unknown (Cant find who said this but it was someone who worked at Apple)
âOne time Paul had a chick in bed and John came in and got a pair of scissors and cut all her clothes into pieces calling her a whore and what not. He got like that occassionaly.â-George
âI just saw a girl who said she saw John Lennon walking down the street in New York wearing a button that said, âI love Paul.â she asked him, âWhy are you wearing an âI love Paulâ button?â and he said, âBecause I love Paul.â-Harry Nillson
âHe was always saying, âI wonder what Paul is doing.â When John and I were together, and this is about a week or two before our relationship ended, I remember him saying, âDo you think I should write with Paul again?â I said, âAbsolutely. You should because you want to. The two of you as solo performers are good, but together you canât be beaten.â -May Pang
âWe were recording the other night, and I just wasnât there. Neither was Paul. We were like two robots going through the motions. We do need each other alot. When we used to get together after a month off, we used to be embarrassed about touching each other. Weâd do an elaborate handshake just to hide the embarrassment⌠or we did mad dances. Then we got to hugging each other.â -John
Im just saying if they aren't your OTP they should at least be your BROTP because hell they loved each other SO fucking much and that is obvious. Even after the break-up of the Beatles when they both were so stubborn and angry with each other they still cared for each other so much. Their friendship is golden and a beautiful, beautiful thing.Â
About the âJohnâs Princessâ quote, iy is briefly mentioned in the book âApple To The Coreâ, by Peter McCabe & Robert Schonfeld, as some âunderstandingâ that Yoko wasâŚthreatening to Paul: âWith Yoko present, Paul McCartneyâs reign as Lennonâs princess was doomed.âÂ
And is also mentioned in the polemic âJohn Lennon: The Lifeâ by Philip Norman, now from Yokoâs pov. âAround Apple, in her (Yoko) hearing, Paul would sometimes be called Johnâs princess.â
So, itâs not one-sided.
Also, continuing in this quote in Normanâs book we can find:
âShe had also once heard a rehearsal tape with Johnâs voice calling out  "Paul ⌠Paul ⌠â in a strangely subservient, pleading way. âI knew there was something going on there,â she remembers.âÂ
And THIS IS IMPORTANT!
Yo, color me convinced.
