Anytime he's in an argument and he realises hes raising his voice he immediately shuts down and stops talking entirely, because he knows if he keeps screaming he won't stop, and what if he starts sounding like him? If whoever he's arguing with keeps trying to talk to him he'll eventually just leave the room (and put just about all of his will-power into not slamming the door on his way out)
