Hii! I thiiiink I mentioned it in an author's note in the beginning, but it was probably unclear!

The Star Wars/SOC au takes place roughly the same time as the beginning of Season 2 of the Andor tv series, which is about 4-5 BBY. But there's not much of any story overlap.

So about 4-5 years before the events of the original Star Wars trilogy! And about 15 years after the events of the Star Wars prequels. All of the events of the prequels have taken place in this fic, and all of the events in the original Star Wars trilogy are unaltered and unaffected by the events of the fic.

The Empire is in full power—being evil fascists and shit—and the resistance movement against it is rapidly growing. The InterGalactic Banking Clan is a very minor thing in SW canon during the prequels timeline, and we don't know much about what happened to it under the Empire. I've kicked out the canon InterGalactic Banking Clan characters and moved it to the planet Kerch. Merchant Council? No. InterGalactic Banking Clan!

There will be no Star Wars characters making an appearance in the fic, and other than the Merchant Council being the InterGalactic Banking Clan, no SOC character take on the actual role of a SW character. I may mention some big political things for world-building, like the Clone Wars or genocide of the Jedi, which would have happened when the main crows were toddlers. For timeline sake, the fic is out of the way of most things.

Emperor Palpatine exists. Darth Vader exists. Luke Skywalker is on a moisture farm on Tatooine. None of them make an appearance, but the characters are largely effected by the politics of the Star Wars universe during this time. So... Emperor Palpatine himself may not make an appearance, but his fascist regime does.

Making my own planets, throwing in some canon ones. Just shovin the crows right in there.
