Okay so like, is the Satellite Ending supposed to be the true/best ending, or it simply "an" alternate ending? I've seen it referred to as a "true" ending but iunno, kinda just felt a bit underwhelming. Like, I don't wanna yap on too much about it (unless anyone really wants me to elaborate) but in short it basically just leaves the characters in the exact same spot as the City Ending but it reaches that conclusion in a less satisfying way for said characters. (the boss was okay I guess though, same it never did anything 🙂) If you asked me, I'd say City Ending is the definitive ending for the game.

On that note, Nicolas character growth lets GOOOOOO! I was ambivalent towards Nic early on but they grew on me a lot (this shut-in chud is actually kind of a goober) and I suppose it's kinda fitting I got the City Ending last just because it feels like the most gratifying send off for Nic's story. You go my dude, you get that confidence to live your life regardless of how the world may try to push you back or how it may perceive you! 😎👍 (you're not beating the egg allegations ma'am)

You can ship Nic romantically with whoever y'all want, but Isaac's and Nic's friendship means everything to me (my goated little robot lad; actually the best character don't @ me! 🥰🥰🥰)

She's such a fucking pathetic scumbag. Still love her. (2nd best character)

In light of the Satellite Ending events, I'm filing her's and Nash's relationship status under "doomed/toxic yuri"

Tbh I don't have much to say the gameplay itself. It was okay. Pretty simple and honestly kinda easy for the most part, and this is coming from a dumbass who normally sucks as RPGs. I'd say the characters and story do a lot of heavy lifting, but that's not a bad thing.

Those insta-death floor traps in the S-7ang satellite killed me than every enemy/boss in the game combined. Fuck those stupid floor traps (hmm maybe there's a reason I'm being so critical of the satellite...)

Actually screw that mansion section too, for those inverted controls and being the one point in the game that arbitrarily decides you're suddenly not allowed to run from the combat encounter with enemies that deal 7 billion damage that show up every five meters >:c

All the little interactions from the extra party members are a cute touch and a nice reward for going out of your way to find them. Almost wish there was option to just shoot the breeze with them since I'm genuinely curious to know more about them (and I'm assuming they aren't going to appear in Nashbored, which makes me sad ☹️ )

This game did a good job of hyping me up for the sequel (prequel?) game, if only to learn more about the game's lore (cause I'm sure there's a shit ton of stuff I'm still clueless on) and especially about Nash and what her deal is. I just know there's more to her than "Alex put her brain in the robot that makes you fucked up and evil".

Oh also to see Mechana, I can see she's clearly a fan favorite but I'm purposely trying to avoid spoilers about her.

Erm, that's all I can really think of rn. I feel like I come as critical/negative when I make these kinds of post but I do think it was a pretty great game overall (common Fading Club W), happy to have finally got around to playing it after sitting on it for so long! :D
