Are all somnosprites related to eachother? Or is Goutha being referred to as the Arcsprite's daughter a special case/non-literal thing
Goutha is the "First Daughter" of the Arcsprite because she was the Arcsprite's first creation. However, there is no direct biological process or relation involved.
As such, all of the Somnosprites are "children" of the Arcsprite, but in the "creation" way, rather than the "biological child" way, and are not related to each other, unless they were specifically created by the Arcsprite with that in mind.
ask Odd question but I was wondering if you were influenced by the Film, "Mad God" at all when making Psychopomp. It seems very stylistically similar!
I've never seen Mad God, but there's definitely some environmental inspiration from the similarly stop motion animated short film Junk Head 1, which I think looks really cool! There's also a lot of inspiration from the film Testuo: The Iron Man in all of my games.
Is there any particular reason Venus is so out of it in the intro of the instructions level?
The other areas of the game leading up to that point all have real world analogues, ones that she is able to think about and riff on. Things like a Water Treatment Plant or a Public School are commonly grasped concepts, and because of that she has a lot of thoughts on them and their relation to society. Even Hard Structures, for how bizarre it is, hearkens to the idea of endless construction, and how people are ultimately displaced in the pursuit of more and more of said development.
However, the DNA Facility is where things first become completely otherworldly. It is not a place that exists in any way that we know of. She is caught off guard and deeply disturbed by the concepts being shown to her, and her confidence in her understanding of the world is wavered. The conspiracy theory spirals out of control, and the conspiracy moves to suit it. The very flesh we reside in becomes oppressive.
This continues on into Symbols, where even concepts and thought itself are laid bare, and presented as another form of imposed structure. There, she has nothing to say at all. Moving closer and closer to the death of the ego before eventual apotheosis.

Why doesn't Alex have a nose? I've been plagued by this question since the very first play of Nashbored and Dashbored...
It's just a stylistic choice. Alex does have a nose, so it's not like he looks weird to the other characters (well, maybe he does, but for other reasons) , we just don't see the nose. DashBored is a hodgepodge of all sorts of characters I made from when I was a little kid through when I was a teen, so there's an odd mixture of styles and design philosophies going into it, which don't always totally line up, but I sort of prefer it that way.
I feel like Alex is just a noseless character stylistically, and a nose just doesn't fit him and feels weird on his face whenever I have tried to draw him with one. You'll notice that other characters, like Venus from Psychopomp, are often drawn without a nose, but then will have a nose in certain art. It's mostly just what I'm feeling at that moment.
What program do you use to make the music in your games (specifically Psychopomp)?
Also, in another post you said that a lot of the sounds in Psychopomp were made with your mouth, so what microphone did you use?
I use FL Studio for my music. In the development of Psychopomp, I used Omnisphere extensively, as well as a mix of real instruments such as various flutes and drums.
My microphone setups are very basic, I just have a Blue snowball ice, and a Razer Seiren Mini. They don't have the best sound quality, but they definitely get the job done. However, The vocals of Bad Chest Feel Don't Touch your Feet Together were actually recorded using an old Logitech c615 webcam.
Take a BIG Leap.

midori art hi
Would it hurt more to poke the King of All Dogs in the inner face? Also are there any unused DREAMWILD tracks?
I think it might feel good, he might like it. He might ask for more. As it stands, this was maybe five or so years ago, so I don't quite remember the tracks I didn't end up using for DreamWild off the top of my head, but I did go through my music files and found this short test track. This may have been an alternate victory screen, or potentially an earlier version of "Cracked Clay", based on the similar instrumentation and sound.
And then it's dark again Just like a spark And then it vanishes No one around

An Old Friend!
Why did Alex leave Nash on the satellite?
Dragged away in a dissociated stupor along with a comatose Midori by Jack onto a evacuation ship pod.
