My current favorite hatchetfield hc is that Webby taught Lex to read. She’s dyslexic and teachers couldn’t help her. Her mother refused to try, obviously. That left Webby to step in. Imagine her with a young Lex curled up with a book now. Webby would be an encouraging teacher for Lex, who was used to be seen as stupid.

Holy cow, I’ve been on an art kick or something this month! I can’t explain it but I get the urge to draw something every midnight.

Anyways, I’ve been getting into the Hatchetfield trilogy (I don’t have the courage to unpack Nightmare Time yet) and got an unparalleled sense of “I wish I could have vibed with these characters but they died” upon watching Nerdy Prudes Must Die. So here’s the dynamic trio of Paul Matthews, Ted Spankoffski, and Emma Perkins! Wait no that’s not right.

As Aromantic Visibility Day (June 5th) approaches this year, friendly reminder from an aroace: it's Aromantic Visibility Day, not "Aroace" Visibility Day! Not all aromantics are also asexual — there are aromantics who are allosexual (aroallos for short), aromantics who don't separately label their sexual orientation at all, and aromantics whose sexual orientation doesn't fit into an ace/allo binary, as well as likely even more aros who don't fit into "aroace" for even more reasons — and all of them are equally included in Aromantic Visibility Day, because they are equally aromantic! In fact, those aros who aren't ace are disproportionately erased and in need of visibility, even more than aroaces are (which is really saying something, because aroace visibility itself is already terrible), so including them in Aromantic Visibility Day is vital, and using the correct name for the occasion instead of calling it an "aroace day" is a start.

Overall: again, speaking as an aroace myself, we aroaces will not be offended if you just call Aromantic Visibility Day the thing it is actually called! I care about sharing this upcoming day with my fellow aros, so stop excluding them, even accidentally! We aroaces celebrate this day but it is not for us exclusively!

TGWDLM REMOUNT SPOILERS‼️‼️

Putting Pete in cup of poison coffee is actually devastating bc (at least in my show) Paul seemed to RECOGNISE Pete as Ted’s brother and see him literally die in front of of him. Then during Show Me Your Hands Paul and Ted have a whispered conversation and after that point Ted just dies not give a fuck anymore. He seems to be quietly crying on the sofa during Emma and Paul’s monologue at hidgens’. This is all speculative but it adds an extra angsty new layer to imagine that Pete’s death is what truly broke him.

It is interesting to me that in the span of two weeks Steph went from saying "Well I wouldn't advertise it to the whole school" when questioned if she and Pete are friends to everyone around school regarding her as one of the four best friends of Richie's when she is brought in to talk to the police with the others.

Cause like, we see that after Max' death, everyone is nice to Richie. So they were trauma bonding HARD. Which like, yeah understandable but still, two weeks. TWO WEEKS. That is enough for people to be like yeah, they are friends.

And perhaps more interesting is how Grace fits into all that. Cause right before Richie's death we see Pete and Steph are indeed hanging out, and then before the police scene, Ruth is also with them so we have evidence of them hanging out. But seemingly the only reason Grace comes up to them is to talk to them about their newest problem.

The dynamics here are very interesting to me.
