Djune 4th: What's your all time favorite Djo song?

Back On You

As per my previous post, The Crux arrived at the end of a very long hard winter for me, and the first time I heard that choir at the start of Back On You I burst into tears. It's pure JOYCORE.

(Pre-The Crux favourite was Half Life, that song just unfolds like an epic, hugely underrated. Very jealous of people at the Another Bite tour getting to hear it live)

Djune 3rd: what's your favorite Djo album?

I love them all but The Crux came along at exactly the right time for me (menopause symptoms + Seasonal Affective Disorder + the state of the world in early 2025 = FUN MIX!) Even aside from that I think it's such a thoughtfully put together listening experience (escpecially when you start off with The Crux Deluxe and then the album proper) that represents a real step up in his songwriting abilities while still suggesting he has plenty of room to grow.

It's also the album he got to tour which led to me seeing him live twice last year and going again when he supports Lorde in Briston this August!
