I noticed this thing online where people try to defend media properties by saying “they worked hard on it” It’s just a form of deflection from genuine criticism. Yeah what the crew has gone through hell to make anything is impressive but that doesn’t matter. If it sucks then it sucks. If I go to pizzeria and they gave me a brunt pizza, I didn’t like my pizza being burnt to a crisp and the employee said that the cooks worked hard on it so I should eat it. It doesn’t matter what matters is the pizza tastes like shit. Putting effort in something does not equal a good thing.

What I really hate seeing online are these white saviors teens trying to act “progressive” when they’re really hateful. Tbh these type of white people on the internet annoy me and make me cringe as a POC person.
