The Bean Monsters are going to be enamel pins!!

I’m going to do a pre-order for them once their ready, but I can only afford to do 3 designs for the first round. The unicorn is going to be one of them, but the others are up for vote!

I marched in the San Francisco pride parade today with PFLAG. I’ll admit I started to feel a bit out of place, because my parents are definitely not the kind of people who would be marching in that kind of group. They’re not like the mom who marched today to support her trans and gay son, even if he wasn’t there. They’re not like my mom’s friend who has been marching since 2000 to support her gay son, who marches because it reassures her that she made the right choice to support her son. My parents are not against LGBT folk—they would just much rather have me be cisgender and straight because I would be safer and it would be easier on everybody, including me. I don’t blame them—being trans, having dysphoria, and being discriminated against is not something I would want anyone to experience.

But as I kept marching, I realised that while my parents might not be the most accepting, I still have the support system and the family that I’ve found. This post is about some of the people I’m thankful for, because that’s who I marched for today.

the issue is that what i also need is the opposite: i need other people on my team to be able to see where i am. when i play support i spend a lot of time chasing down critical health people who are sprinting away from me as fast as they can. which isn’t really their fault, because they have no idea which of these unlabeled chevrons can help them. i have the same issue when i play combat heroes.

obviously i don’t work in UI design and i wouldn’t describe this solution as ‘elegant’, but i’m envisioning something like this: 

that said: overwatch is such a meticulously streamlined and polished game that generally, when i have a concern, i assume there’s already been a related discussion on the dev team’s part. so i have to wonder if this is a deliberate omission, intended to force people to communicate with their teams.

sathinfection, nisiedrawsstuff and I have that daily silm multi-convo and everything that comes of it is literal trash so I’ll just leave this here and dismiss my own responsibility by saying they made me do this
