Khoros
Project from Segovan is a collection of captures featuring various dance performances using Depthkit and a Microsoft Kinect:
In this series of short video clips, I explore volumetric filmmaking applied to dance & choregraphy.
Using depthkit‘s volumetric video capture software, I re-shot, virtually, the various improvised performances, after they had been filmed. This allowed me to get much closer to the performers, to follow them around and ⁄ or to adjust or re-think the camera position and the camera movements.

The Parallax View
Project from Peder Norrby is an IphoneX visual toy using TrueDepth facetracking to produce a Trompe-l'œil effect of depth from the position of your head:
Explainer video - enable sound! The app, called #TheParallaxView, is in review on @AppStore#iPhoneX #ARKit #FaceTracking #madewithunity pic.twitter.com/6P8ofGZqP4

Yes it’s ARKit face tracking and #madewithunity … basically non-symmetric camera frustum / off-axis projection.
The app is currently in review, but Peder plans to release the code to Github in the future for developers to experiment with.
You can follow progress at Peder’s Twitter account here
The app is now available at the App Store [Link]

EF EVE
Platform lets you take a realtime feed from depth cameras (such as the Microsoft Kinect) that can be presented in Virtual Reality spaces.
Here is a short video from āz balabanian trying it out with a realtime video call:
This was BONKERS. Just had a holographic call with @IevaStelingyte in Lithuania, streaming volumetric video in real time using @EF_company (Hangouts call on the side for latency comparison).

You can find out more about the service here, and is available from Steam here
LIV

Next-System
Japanese developers are creating mobile apps incorporating Augmented Reality for photographic tricks, from free floating object placements to optical camo effects:
[Google Translate:]
I tried to develop a demonstration using ARkit that makes it possible to take movies like MATOX like the cheat technique “The World” used by DIO in the third part of “Joji O’s Strange Adventure” It was. I hope to be able to respond to Google ARCore in the future.

La TABLA
Project by Chaim Gingold and Luke Iannini is an open-source and cheap interactive system involving tabletob projection:
La Tabla is a magical table—put things on it and they come to life. Make music and animations. Play games. Design your own pinball tables. Use your body, your friends, paper, drawings, game pieces—whatever strikes your fancy.
… La Tabla introduces a groundbreaking way to interact with computers. Rather than using a finger to click on a mouse or poke at a screen, you reach into the simulation world with two hands, bringing the full force of your hominid dexterity and playfulness to the table. Because you can put whatever you like—coins, stones, books, drawings, yourself—into the simulation world, play is surprisingly improvisational and open-ended. Playing with others doesn’t require sharing a mouse, keyboard, or network connection. Everyone sees and touches the same thing, which is such a profound way to interact that we take it for granted during our everyday, non-computerized, life.

ARKit AR RPG (Proof Of Concept)
Developers @lingoded and @JesseBarksdale have been sharing on Twitter demos of Japanese-Style RPGs using iOS ARKit and Unity:
Little info is currently known about the project, but it is clear @lingoded is part of an AR gaming project called GeneReal so this is possibly part of it.
