hi im too lazy to make this post aesthetic && stuff so dont mind it

for three whole semesters, y/n and shinichiro have been roommates, though they were merely strangers, if not almost invisible to each other’s eyes

the only times they talk to each other is for the place’s maintenance and whatnots. no sharing of food, no sharing of dialogues, no sharing of anything. they are basically living on their own but just in one house

until one night, y/n was absolutely tired and their eyes were sinking into the depths from the lack of sleep.

shinichiro was also on his laptop, working on his thesis a few feet away. and then suddenly, he stood up and rummaged through his food in the kitchen.

y/n heard it and their stomach rumbled, but there’s no way they’re asking for food nor stand up and leave their work unfinished

ur eyes immediately darted to him sleeping figure, afraid that he had caught u singing

and then it hit u

his mom probably used to sing him lullabies in his sleep, and u doing the same thing brought a painful yet soothing wave of nostalgia

u almost let a tear slip, but u continued singing for him

u started doing this whenever he falls asleep with u, for it made his slumber rather peaceful

sometimes, u accompany urself with ur ukulele when he’s not directly beside u, but still unconsciously sleeping

until one time, he laid his head on ur lap, grabbing ur hand and kissing it softly

“can u sing for me?” he asked

by creepy, i mean he used to harass you with his undying love during lunch time, touching you whenever he can, bombard you with diabetes during valentines day, invading your privacy, lying to everyone that you’re together

a squeak make its way out to escape from your lips as your widened eyes stare at sora

thankfully, the joyous screams and boisterous laughs coming from the school fair had weakened his senses, thus not being able to immediately see your cowering figure

he was hard to shoo away back then

despite being able to defend yourself from him back then, him being annoying is rather intolerable

so u sneakily go down the stairs cz u dont want sora to notice nor harass u

buttttt sora caught sight of you—after all, you’re the reason he came to UA’s school fair

he does have a crush on u, but he doesn’t know he actually has a crush on u. all he knows is that he admires ur strength and many more traits than he does to anyone else

“whatever, we’re still not done, [name]” sora smirked, his finger seductively tracing your jaw before leaving u two

todoroki obviously sensed the danger, pulling u closer to him

“i’ll walk w u” he stared at u

u two started walking towards the exit of the campus, not bothering to separate ur hands—which is most likely his idea

“enemy is wearing a fur coat, has [h/c] hair that’s tied up, and is around [height] feet tall” said the person on the other line

the enemy’s eyes widened, but before he could catch u, u ran towards ur partner, bakugo, and pulled him to one of balconies

“what the hell?!”

“they’re onto us!” u whisper yelled, hiding ur coat somewhere while taking off ur hair tie

u heard footsteps, perhaps they have already found out where u both went

“there’s no time!” u hissed, pushing bakugo on his knee

“OH MY GOD...YES! OF COURSE I’LL MARRY U!” u excitedly chanted

“huh?”

bakugo was about to throw profanities when the enemies entered his peripheral vision

u saw this too, but the enemies seemed like they were still about to pester u two

lmao so u pulled the blond up, laying ur face on the crook of his neck to imitate a make out session

and ur right thigh laid against his hip before u pulled his hand to grab it

his other palm encased ur waist, helping u

u can feel his heartbeat accelerating as ur body rests against his own

“sir, we lost her” u heard one of the enemies relay before they leave them

It has so many context; so many stories told, so many beliefs spread, so many talk about it.

But only a few found it.

[I found a love for me.]

The sound of the knocking interrupted [name]'s thoughts. Her heartbeat arose when a dual-haired man entered her sight.

"Hey." he said, ambling down the narrow space towards her. Her smile graced the dull atmosphere in the room, even managing to slightly uplift the corner of his lips.

"Hey...Did you guys have fun tonight?" [name] asked.

"Yeah. Uraraka also wanted to know how are you. I said you're okay...Are you feeling well?" A soft hand—specifically his left side—settled atop her own as he sits down on the bed beside her, making the cushion on that spot dip from his presence.

"Yup," she confirmed. "Just a headache. But I'm fine, really."

"Are you sure? I can get us soba right now if you want."

"It's okay, I'm already full anyway."

They went utterly still while exchanging gazes; it was the type of silence that was purely comfortable. Both didn't doubt that they'd hear a feather fall. Shouto and [name] were simply enjoying each other's company.

[Oh darling, just dive right in and follow my lead.]

Frankly, it was broken the moment she felt a faint tug on her delicate hand.

"[name], I want to go somewhere with you tonight." She just stared at him, barely noticing how long she peered at him with her brows furrowed.

"Eh?" Normally, people don't take their significant other to a date at two in the morning right after announcing that their head aches.

"Sorry. Do you want me to rest with you here instead?"

"No no no, I was just surprised." A hearty chuckle came out of her. "You're usually already sleepy at this time, but it seems important so I'll come."

[Well, I found a girl, beautiful and sweet.]

Shouto took ahold of her wrists, gently helping her to get on her feet. Fragile and frail; her body wobbled for a bit. What was left of her cumulated strength gave her the balance she needed, however.

Letting her beauty captivate him once again, he internally praised his lover. Perhaps it was the red string of fate that weaved both of them together. Although he wasn't so sure about that. Something tells him that even if they're not destined together, he would've still been drawn to [name].

[Oh, I never knew you were the someone waiting for me.]

White, loose dress covered her figure. Once she was fully upright, Shouto carefully pulled the tubes that covered her arms. His hand reached the paper bag that contained a change of clothes and a pair of shoes, and handed it to her. She gratefully accepted after saying a short thanks.

Well, back then, she used to daydream of the person who she'll shower with all her affection. Whispers of imagination satisfying her fantasies. It was her only desire after finding out how many years she has left to live.

Nine years have passed and never did [name] expect that she'd finally find him; pain from waiting suddenly vanished from her. Maybe even the very little chance of researchers developing a cure slipped out of her mind too.

The day she entered U.A. was memorable, of course. Since that's the start of their journey. A quest that they knew would end too soon, but accepted nonetheless.

They stride down the hallways to the exit, not letting the chattering disturb their own peaceful minds. And after they arrived at their destination, [name] stepped out of the car.

Oaks laid below her feet, their hue complimenting the pavement. Grass dangled in one direction as well as her [h/c] tresses.

Splendor sky had stars scattered all over it, leaning down to the grounds of the earth. The glistening of her eyes forestalled his anticipation. As she stared up above, the vague scent of fire entered aloft her nostrils. At the corner of her eyes, she could see the crackling of the flames.

The heterochromatic eyed lad glanced at the spaces between her fingers and interlocked his hand with hers, guiding her further into the garden.

"It's so pretty here, Shouto."

"I know." Though his eyes never left her. It annoyed him a little because it wasn't him who she was staring at. Eventually, his ego got the best of him as his fingers tilted her chin to face him.

Closer and closer...

Those frail lips of hers that lacks warmth brushed his own. He would've noticed the frigidity instantly if it wasn't for the heated flush that seeped onto his cheeks.

[But darling, just kiss me slow, your heart is all I own.]

Unblinking eyes met as they slowly pulled apart. The after effects invited them to do it once again, but it was declined when he circled his arms around her petite waist, while she contrarily wrapped both arms around his shoulder—leaving them embracing one another close by, afraid of letting go. Moving their feet sedately in chorus, silently wishing that one can live an eternity.

Fingers splayed on his back. [name]'s humming causing a gentle vibration to form where they connect. He soaked in the soft melodies, savoring each note, for they seem to speak to him too.

A full minute passes before she shuffled away from him.

"Sorry, I don't exactly look presentable right now."

For a moment, she thought Shouto disregarded it, not until he murmured something.

Senses were heightened as [name]'s eyes were closed; tall grass tickled her long legs, and then came the meek chirps of birds. Zephyr waves molded her inner joy. Both her lips and mood elevated.

No longer can [name] remain her eyes squeezed. At first, she opened it ajar—fearing that she'll be blinded by the radiance. She kept squinting and peeking, not even opting to completely blind herself for a while by covering them with her hand.

"What are you doing?" someone queried, making her realize that someone else has witnessed this fiasco.

Out of surprise, [name] quickly swiveled her head to the right side, only to find herself lock gazes with silver and turquoise. The aforementioned noises seemed to blur out as she memorizes every single detail of someone so ethereal, leaving her unaware of the small smile that formed on her face. They were lying on the grass beside it each other.

"I miss your smile," he mumbled. Right, she hasn't seen him for the past few days. Family problems and schoolwork really gave her zero time.

"I missed yours too..." Time felt nothing like an eternity. The heterochromatic-eyed boy's figure started to vanish into a translucent state. Perhaps it was only her imagination. Soon though, she ended the serenade staring contest when she blinked twice, trying to pry off the illusions playing games.

"Shouto?" she tried to call him, even if her voice was only echoing in her head. Trees blended with familiar furniture. Earthy cushion morphed into something softer, and the chirping slowly turned it yells from what seems like a quarrel.

"Shouto," Her small cries didn't faze nor reach him. Although it all started to make sense when the merging phase of her surroundings has come to an end—it made her upset. Unfortunately, she was in her room. And those screams downstairs were from her so-called parents arguing again. [name] rolled her eyes for not realizing what was happening sooner; being so used to these 'beautiful' tunes, it was a shame that it took her a full minute to register that.

His name is Todoroki Shouto. She first met him nine years ago—in a dream, of course. The following nights came and he just kept on appearing in all of it. Together they played, talked, helped, listened, accompanied...and loved each other. It was her newfound reality. A dimension that had someone who made her feel worthy.

A heavy sigh left her as she slackly walked towards her desk. The soles of her feet insensitive to the numbing cold floor.

Writing is the only way to bring her happiness outside of the sleeping state, for it is the only way to bring something from that world to this world. Pencil danced around thin fingers, while her nondominant hand hovered over her earphones.

The moment she plugged it in, the moment she shifted realities.

Even her whole demeanor altered. It wasn't something common to discover from her.

In all honesty, she still couldn't avoid falling into depression; drowning in the sea of misery. During those times, her emotions were void. Just like the way her parents told her that her brother started smoking cannabis, and it just went right through her, not hitting anything anymore.

May it be inevitable or not, it's still tiring, is it not?

[But when he loves me, I feel like I'm floating.]

With carefree beaming, memories with him unfolded—resetting her mood today. Tears came in, at last. Her accumulated emotions were like the water that broke through a dam. She was mouthing the words of the lyrics, silently crying.

Why couldn't he just be real?

[When he calls me pretty, I feel like somebody.]

He feels real...in the heart, that is.

[Even when we fade eventually, I'm nothing.]

But everything is coming to an end. Like it always has been.

Later, she'll be taking the longest sleep to say her farewell.

It wasn't the tumor in her brain that is her highest concern. It was the chance of getting memory loss after the binding surgery.

She'll forget him, eventually. The moments they formed will be gone in one snap. He might've been just an imagination, yet he's the only one who was there for her. The only one who didn't judge nor hurt her. The only one who listened to her and made her the happiest she can be—made her feel like she's on cloud nine.

Diaries have a purpose all along...

It doesn't matter if she can only access the memories and not the emotions.

Because on her diary, she'll write:
