Thanks to his quirk, his body’s constantly warm, always radiating heat.

Normally, it doesn’t bother you. If anything, you love it. It’s like having a heated blanket that grumbles when you steal his warmth.

But now it’s the middle of summer.

And your AC’s broken.

The apartment feels miserable, thick with heat that clings to your skin no matter where you stand or what you do.

You finish your nightly routine, already sweating a little as you flop down into the bed with little to nothing on.

You spread yourself across your side like a starfish, refusing to move in hopes the little fan pointed directly at you can work some kind of miracle.

Katsuki walks in a minute later, towel draped around his neck as he dries his damp hair, “You alive?”

“Barely”

He snorts, “You’ll live.”

He climbs in next to you, giving you a goodnight peck, then immediately goes to spoon you.

You huff loudly, pushing him away from you with a pathetic whine, “too hot”

He frowns, sitting upright immediately, “What the fuck?”

You raise an eyebrow, “..What?”

“You got another man?” he blurts, already wearing the world’s nastiest scowl, “Why don’t you wanna cuddle?”

You can’t help the laugh that slips out at that, “Katsuki, it’s too hot!”

His eyebrows furrow tightly, huffing air out of his nose. He flops back down angrily, turning his back to you with a pissy little hmph.

You simply roll your eyes and scooch back over to your side.

Exactly twelve seconds pass before he rolls back over, “I can’t sleep like this!”

“You’ll live” you mock, shooting him a sarcastic smile.

“So you hate me and think i’m a disgusting freak? Got it” he practically hisses, frowning so hard it almost looks painful

“You’re being so dramatic”, you laugh, “I just want to sleep comfortably”

“Well I wanna cuddle my girl, dammit”

“I’m already sweating!”

A few seconds pass where he’s staring at you real hard while you pretend to not notice, then he suddenly grabs his phone.

“I’m calling icy-hot to come cool this place down” he barks, already calling poor Shoto.

“Kats-“

“And we’re getting a new AC tomorrow” he interrupts, “I’m not dealing with none of this ‘too hot to cuddle’ bullshit” he mutters

You can’t help the little smile that tugs at your lips.

For being a huge grump, he’s such a baby.

An hour later, after a very amused Shoto cools the apartment down, Katsuki’s practically glued to your side.

“There,” he mutters into your neck, “now quit whining”
