What People See vs. What Hawks Hides

One of the things I find most interesting about Hawks is how carefully he controls the way people perceive him.

People see the chill, smiling Number Two Hero. He's funny, charismatic, relaxed, and always seems like he's gliding above every problem. Even in dangerous situations, Hawks rarely looks stressed. He makes hero work seem effortless, and that confidence puts people at ease.

From the outside, it looks like everything comes naturally to him, but the reality is much heavier.

Hawks carries an incredible amount of responsibility, and he's been doing it since he was a child.

He's constantly exhausted, not just physically, but emotionally. Between hero work, espionage, and keeping dangerous secrets, he spends much of his life performing a role instead of simply being himself.

He's also incredibly lonely, because very few people truly know him. The more secrets he has to protect, the harder it becomes to build genuine relationships.

On top of that, his childhood wasn't one of freedom. Hawks was raised under strict control and shaped into the perfect hero long before he had the chance to decide what kind of person he wanted to be.

Because that's what he was taught to do. Hawks wasn't raised to share his fears or doubts. He was raised to be useful.

His smile isn't just part of his personality. It's camouflage.

If people think he's okay, they don't ask questions. If civilians believe their heroes are confident, they feel safe. If his fellow heroes think he has everything under control, they can focus on the mission instead of worrying about him.

Hawks understands that appearances have power, so he chooses to carry his burdens quietly.

That's what makes him such a compelling character to me. His greatest strength isn't just his intelligence or his quirk. It's the fact that he can keep everyone else feeling safe while quietly carrying a weight that very few people ever notice.

So... if he were to let you see the real him... would you choose Keigo or Hawks?

bakugou doesn't want to admit it, but he's obsessed with you, within barely a month of actually dating you.

you settled on the stool in the kitchen, eyes droopy with sleep, the slight chill of mint toothpaste still lingering in your mouth, yawning you looked at bakugou.

"hi." you grinned, toothy and wide, eyes squinted shut at the mere site of him, "what are you upto, handsome?" teasing and cheeky, so early in the morning, your be the death of him.

"nothing." he mumbled, cheeks dusted with a rosy hue, eyes darting between you and the decor he had on his walls, "made you breakfast."

plate of savoury pancakes placed on the counter beside you, followed by a glass of water, cup of steaming coffee rested beside him on the counter, strict with his rule of no coffee on empty stomach.

"this isn't nothing." you quipped, leaning over to grasp at his hand, pulling him closer so he stood between your legs, albeit at least 3 foot taller from were you sat on the stool, "did you wake up extra early for this?"

you squeeze your thighs around his, fingers fiddling with the hem of his apron, looping and unlooping around the straps, grazing touches that leave behind a tingling sensation.

"had to wake up early anyways." shrugging his shoulders, he meted in your hold, body absentmindedly chasing your touch, his own hands coming to rest on your cheeks, "eat up, you have a long shift today."

you tilted your head, pressing a kiss against the pad of his thumb, mischievous glint in your eyes, as your lips parted and swallowed his digit, cheeks hollowing softly.

bakugou shuddered, letting out a weak sigh, feeling himself harden to full mast, breakfast, work, all pushed back to the back of his mind, one cheeky little gesture and he's ready to go back to bed.

you pull away, thumb slipping out of our mouth, glossy with a sheen layer of spit, wiping your mouth, with the back of your hand, you turned towards the counter, "I'll have to give you something to eat too."

oh, you will.

𐙚. Inside.

Todoroki Shouto and his penchant to crawl under your skin, literally and figuratively.

He hovered behind you, close enough that his toes grazed the back of your ankle everytime you moved, warmth radiating off his chest seeped into your back with how little distance was there between your bodies.

Normally, you didn't mind it.

But, this definitely is a hazard now.

"Shou..." You mumbled reluctantly, lowering the heat on the stove and placing the wooden spoon on the plate, turning around, albeit with difficulty because he still stood grounded, "I think you should wait by the table for dinner."

You nodded towards the small dining table, eyes lingering on his chest because if you looked up, you'd see the betrayal on his pretty face, sweet nose scrunched up, soft, rosy lips pouted, cheeks all puffy as he huffed in distress.

"But, we are lovers...." He argued, voice heavy with grief, poor Shouto, he stepped back, hands reaching for your wrists to pull you closer, "Lovers stick together."

One hand travelled up, palm cradling your jaw, gently, so gently, nudging it up, heterochromic eyes waiting to meet yours.

And meet did they.

"There we go." He sighed, leaning forward to rub the tip of his nose against yours, unaware of the way your heart squeezed in your chest, unaware of the sudden urge in your being to smother him with kisses, "if I bother you so mu—"

"Shouto never!" You leaned into his palm, dinner and kitchen safety pushed to the back of your mind, rules be damned, "I was jus—I didn't want you to get hurt in the kitchen."

He hummed, the hand cradling your jaw, curling to grasp the back of your neck, tilting your face up, his lips hovering just above yours.

A shaky breath escaped your lips, eyes fluttering shut as you leaned in, meeting his lips halfway through, hands venturing from his sides you his chest before finding purchase on his shoulders.

You melt in his arms, body completely lax in his embrace, so light headed that you feel like you'll float away if he let you go.

Shouto pulled away, albeit reluctantly, forehead resting against yours, fingers gripping the fabric of your shirt, "I want to get inside of you." He sighed dreamily.

Your eyes widened at his confession, staring up at him as you tried to decipher what he meant, "You can't say it so shamelessly, Shou." You mumbled, leaning forward, hiding your face into the crook of his neck, plethora of giggles escaping past your lips.

Shouto grinned, kissing the top of your head, belly all warm and fuzzy, "Hey, I didn't mean it like that." His fingers flexed around the back of your head, pushing you further into his chest, "but it is one way to get in—"

"Shouto!"

You love seeing Katsuki in baby tees.

Much differently than other girlfriends who love seeing their boyfriends in clothes that were revealing.

Because Katsuki isn't performative with it, he doesn't wear shirt cut too high to say hey look at me, I'm a guy who's confident in his masculinity enough to wear this!

Katsuki doesn't have to prove anything. He just does shit because.

And god, do you love it when he does.

There's something so sinful in how casual he is about it. About the fact the shirt hugs him a bit too firmly in all the right places. About the way the hem sits right below his navel, giving you the perfect viewpoint of the stretch of tanned skin above his waist, and if you get really lucky when he wears those low-hanging sweats, the ridiculously enticing trail of ash blonde hair down into his waistband.

The sight of Katsuki in baby tees makes you a little stupid. So of course you try to take your dignity back in the best way you know how—attempting to ragebait your unfairly attractive boyfriend.

"So what, they didn't have any bigger sizes at the store?"

At your words, he looks at you from where he's just existed your bedroom. Like it's an immediate reflex, his brows draw down into that familiar scowl at your teasing.

"Don't act like you don't like it."

You hold in your grin, wanting to see the fire under his skin, knowing it makes the reward all that much hotter.

"I mean c'mon Katsuki," you bait, "I thought you had a thing for fashion, this is a bit low for you."

He scoffs, continuing his walk to the kitchen.

"I just got out of the shower, can you not."

Your invisible grin widens. He's annoyed.

"I don't know what I'm doing." Your exaggeratedly coy tone of voice give him pause, making him turn around from where you were ogling the narrow slope of his back from where it peeked out from that oh so sinful shirt.

Your eyes jump to meet his so you don't get caught in the act, connecting with his crimson gaze as his eyes meet yours.

"Tch." He scoffs. His eyes take you in fully from where you're seated almost too comfortably on the couch. "Don't be a brat."

"I just voicing my concern." You raise your brows in faux sympathy. "As your girlfriend I believe it's my job to do that."

Katsuki's mouth opens to say something until he pauses, obviously reading something on your face that you thought was hidden.

He looks between your eyes, realization coming to his as a wide shit-eating grin spreads across his face, understanding you in a way that no one else can.

"You're full of shit."

"Excuse me?" Your eyebrows shoot up in offense. He's right, but you still reserve the right to be offended.

He says nothing, walking over to where you're seating. You try so hard to keep your eyes on his, but with the way his exposed lower abdomen is right at your eye line, your gaze keeps dropping on his slow approach. Every dropped glance makes his grin grow even wider, until he's standing right over you at an angle that's truly sinful. Your mind goes to a dark place, imagining that with simple move, his sweats would be at his ankles and your mouth on his— You blink to clear your head, arching your neck to where he's smirking at you, oh so aware at the thoughts going through your head.

"You can just say that you like my shirt, you idiot."

You pout up at him, unable to miss the way he swallows when you do so.

"Why would I do that? And make your ego grow even bigger than it already is."

Affection smooths down the edges of his gaze as he continues to look down at you.

"Not my fault when I've got my beautiful girl at home who loves everything that I wear."

You can't help the heat that rises to your skin, chin tucking into your chest as you mutter in embarrassment.

"I don't love everything. Like this dumb shirt."

You can't see him as he snickers.

"If you say so."

Before you can respond, he brings his warm hand to the back of your neck.

"C'mere." He mumbles, using his hand to pull you off the couch, and you follow in complete ease as he brings his mouth to meet yours.

You make a mental note to replace all of his current post workout tees with baby tees.

So much for your dignity.
