sooooooo much i want to say about the dandelion dynasty. but ultimately i’m glad ken liu’s overarching theme in the series is about striving for a better world even if you won’t live long enough to see that future. that no action is meaningless. he could have easily fallen into edgy grimdark fantasy and instead he left you with hope

I’ve read fanfiction better than some novels or movies that are made. Sometimes, even if it a dedication to an already established IP we love, our creativity can produce something transformative. We’re expanding an audience, creating our own worlds, and building stories we need but aren’t seeing in what’s put out there.

The best part is OP got fired because their boss asked why they weren’t “incorporating blockchain technology” into the video switcher they were building and OP straight up said “you have no idea what you’re talking about” and went to lunch
