I used to not understand people who said that they hated a character because of their fanbase. Now I get it, (many) Tim Drake and Aang stans have made me heavily dislike their characters.

It's like every time I think about them now I get reminded of their fans' stupid ass comments and get pissed off.

With the new movie coming out it's all the more obvious the double standard people have for korra and aang.

"Tenzin and her father warned her!"

No they didn't.

"Korra destroyed the past avatars!"

No tf she didn't.

See this is how I know that most of these aang stans didn't even bother to watch korra past the first few episodes and get all their information from the architect and other stupid tiktok posts.

Aang died TWICE in the avatar state and was only saved thanks to katara. If korra had to be saved by another character you know these same fans would be calling her a fraud and a leech.

This is the difference between atla and tlok, korra actually has lasting consequences and often needed to save herself, whereas aang gets to be saved however many times he needs to.

Katara has magical healing water.

Aang doesn't want to kill Ozai?

If it had been aang that had the past lives ripped out of him in atla, there would have been something that would've brought them back. Oh wait, there was! Kataras spirit water.

Aang can make as many mistakes as he wants and it's always "oh he's 12 so you can't be mean to him" but then they act like he's this op guy who's more mature than anyone in the whole wide world.

(Also the fact that one of the creators said that 9 times out of 10 aang would run away from korra and 1 time she would beat him to the ground but they somehow misconstrued that as aang beating korra in a fight lmao)

Ok I've strayed a little from my initial statement so I'll get back to it. Whenever you bring up how misogynistic the fandom is they'll bring up toph, katara, azula and kyoshi.

Toph: 90% of them don't gaf about toph as a character. There, I said it. They only care about how shes the strongest earthbender. And she's a side character so they don't necessarily have to empathise with her the way they do the main characters. Also with how the internet is now, if she came out today people would be calling her dei wokeness, same way they did to pavi when her design was leaked.

Katara: people hated katara wdym? I remember years ago people were constantly dogging on her for missing her mom all the time and making jokes at her expense. Even now a lot of these aang stans only see her as an extension of him, always there to support him whenever he needs it. When aang loses appa he can be as much of a jerk as he wants but when katara lashes out about her trauma regarding her mom she's being annoying? Make it make sense. I feel like a lot of her haters just transferred their hate over to korra.

Azula: people are still constantly calling her pure evil and just crazy. We've grown as a society(somewhat) since atla first released so now people are more empathetic towards her, but you can still find a large number of people saying she's too evil to be redeemed, or that she doesn't deserve redemption.

Kyoshi: ...these people know nothing about kyoshi. They only watch the few times she shows up in atla and latched on to that. I doubt many of them have actually read her novels(cause they can't read for shit lmao). I hope they never make a animated series for kyoshi and yang chen cause i can already see the switch up happening. Actually I hope they do, then they can weed out the larpers lmao.

These are all side characters, korra is the main character of her series, meaning we have to constantly follow her and connect with her(which is funny because men find it hard to connect with female mcs but women can connect with both male and female🤡)

(Also the fact that dick and jokers handwriting in absolute batman #19 are really similar hmm??)

Basically an au where bruce never adopts dick and he's taken by the court of owls.

Tim finds out when the court extends an invitation to his parents and they accept, bringing him into the fold as well.

He recognises dick the moment he spots him and is horrified at what he's become. He desperately wants to rescue dick, but hes also afraid of what could happen to his parents.

His worries end up being meaningless of course, because the court sentences his parents to death(the reason is up to you).

He goes on to take control of the court of owls, and sentences the ones responsible for his parents death to, well, death.

He could free dick now, but his time in the court has changed him. He's no longer the wide eyed young boy he once was.

After his parents died, all he had was dick, who he'd grown somewhat close to. Dick never favoured him any more than the other owls, but his presence brought tim a sense of comfort.

He eventually stopped seeing dick as his own person, but rather a thing, something belonging to him.

He builds a private gym just for dick, inside is a trapeze surrounded by bleachers, ones you would see in a circus.

He often brings dick there, sitting front row as dick performs. When he's there, he can almost pretend that dick is still a flying grayson, and him a sheltered child.

He'll also sometimes have dick sit with him and just watch movies, or tuck him into bed, or pet his hair.

When he closes his eyes, he can almost pretend that dick cares about him.

He wonders if in another life, they could have been friends, maybe even brothers.

(Dick doesn't really see tim as any different from the other owls, other than the fact that he's the grandmaster.

when bruce finally finds him, dick has been broken down so much so that bruce can barely recognise him

like it's the same face, same nose, same hair, but the look in his eyes is haunted and empty

this makes bruce, who'd already been on a downward spiral before dick, and proceeded to spiral more without him, lose faith in gotham

he never wants dick to feel that afraid again, and so he goes against his own morals and takes out the court of owls in its entirety, permanently

it kinda just plays out from there, bruce stops caring about killing people, like he won't go out of his way to purposefully beat them to death, but if he just happens to leave them with broken bones, bleeding in a desolate area welllll

dick does eventually gain some semblance of normalcy again though, mostly thanks to bruce, but any thought of potentially leaving gotham or bruce is wiped out, he's too scared that he'll wake up and find himself back in ice

the duo become even more terrifying and secluded, batman never joins the justice league and dick never meets the teen titans

the two of them are a lot more family focused, and are equally excited to adopt jason when bruce finds him trying to jack his tires

but this causes them to feel all the more betrayed when jason wants to find his original mom, cause like, wdym we're not good enough for you? don't you love this family?

sometimes I'll make edits that focus on other characters, but they'll still feature dick lol

omg imagine dick, who's been stuck with slade for so long and bruce/the titans never rescue him, but bruce still gets new robins anyways

dick eventually gives up and stays with slade willingly, and learns to enjoy it(sort of), and they actually grow a father son bond that gets strengthened as new robins pop up(slade you manipulative asshole)

dick begins to hate batman and robin, and bruce either thinks he's dead or that he willingly betrayed him

slade and dick go to gotham for a mission, where slade allows dick to 'play around' with his replacements

like wf owlman literally has a basement of talons to use whilst n52 owlman literally tried to convince nightwing to replace with his dead talon(aka dick grayson)(who he saw as the brother he never had btw, and who he trusted even more than alfred)
