as the host of a system, i find sysblr really interesting yet the worse thing ever for people with mental illnesses? i like how there's a "community" but reading it through, it feels less of a community thing and more of a thing where everyone is "competing" on who is more/actually mentally ill and it's honestly puzzling?

within my lifetime, i've learned that the experiences of mental health disorders is not the same for everyone since everyone has their own separate experience because everyone is not the same mentally. not everyone went through the same traumas, not everyone has the same experiences, but it doesn't make them any less?

i say this very respectfully, especially to those of sysblr, if you cannot relate to a person's post of their experience with their mental disability, that doesn't mean they don't have the same disability you do, just that their mind is different from yours, their trauma was different from yours, and therefore their disability from their perspective will be different from yours.

DID/OSDD is a disorder stemming from the human brain, to help one cope from their intense trauma, so you not finding them "relatable" enough, isn't enough to criticize them for their own mental disorder.

you can have the same symptoms, but that doesn't equal the same experiences. what might seem like torture to you, might not be the same for someone else.
