Your smell made me high, but your eyes made me lose my mind.

His eyes bled a mystery that held me hostage.

He was adventure. He was a thrill in the dark. He set a fire in my cold heart. He gave me everything that no one else could. He gave me something within myself that told me for once, that I needed to live. I fell for someone who can't offer me anything, because he offered me everything.

I hate going out. I hate the crowds. I hate the loud music. I hate the flashing lights. I hate that my only thought is, when can I go home? But most of all I hate that I hate it.

Those who don't cherish the light have never opened their minds to the darkness.

Love isn’t about you or me. Love is about nothing. It’s fake. We make it up to feel less lonely inside. But the truth is we’re all alone and nothing can change that. And we’ll spend our whole lives searching for something that doesn’t exist just so that feeling will go away.

I fell in love once. I felt the flutter of a crush. The razor burn of a possessive lover. I had been consumed by someone else. A moth circling a blue flame. Felt the pain of their heartbreak for them, easing the thumbtack into my back for them. Cried their tears, so they didn’t drown. I made ebullient memories of us for them. I can still feel the after taste of their lips on mine. Happy ever after had been in my future, a whisk of a kiss away. But sleeping beauty sometimes never wakes. A physical pain. A blow to the chest was like the everlasting sleep I was under. My heart gone, left behind. The newspaper on your doorstep. The soulless corpse of a damaged lover. Were you ever happy with me?

Sometimes I just want to cry my eyes out, but then I just lay in bed because nothing comes out.

Sometimes life just fucks you up and then laughs at you.

That's when I realized, were all a little too fucked up for love.

I cry myself to sleep every night while the image of you burns behind my eyes.

They lied to us. They said that the pain would go away in time. Well, the time has passed, and the pain is still fucking here.
