AndItGoes...

He takes the things you call mistakes and turns them into testimonies of redemption. He transforms those messy, broken pieces into something magnificent. He is molding you on the darkest nights. He is celebrating on the brightest days. There is no hole too deep and no cavern too wide for God to travel through. You are God’s handy work… and He rejoices in you for it.

He never gets tired of working on you. He doesn’t get frustrated when you don’t do something quite right the first time - He is gentle in His guidance. There is no condemnation in God’s love - there is only peace and salvation and the bettering of the soul He has placed in your body.

He has never given up on you. He will never give up on you.

Don’t give up on yourself.

…And in an instant, suddenly, you shall be visited and delivered by the Lord of hosts… (Isaiah 29:5-6, AMP.)

Throughout the Bible, we have examples of how God suddenly showed Himself strong on behalf of His people. But sometimes when we’ve struggled in an area for a long time, it’s easy to just give up and accept things the way they are. One of the enemy’s favorite lies is to tell you that nothing is ever going to change. He’ll tell you that you’re never going to get well, that your marriage isn’t going to work out, that you’re never going to break that addiction. But I want to tell you today, it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been in those circumstances, God can change things in an instant! In a split second of time, He can turn it all around. One touch of God’s power can heal your body. One touch of His favor can promote you. One touch of His goodness can solve that problem. Just one touch from Almighty God can instantly change your life.

Anything we pray for that aligns with the Father’s plan will be granted. And the more time we spend with Him, the more we’ll come to understand His will and how to pray for it.

Remember, prayer doesn’t change God’s mind, but it does transform the believer’s heart. Some requests are granted immediately, simply because our Father is good and He loves to give His children gifts. Other requests may require time or certain divine preparations before they can be given. We, meanwhile, must simply persevere in prayer.

Whatever the Lord’s response or timing, we trust that He has only the very best in store for His children. That means we might not receive exactly what we’re asking for, but something even better. Such is God’s great pleasure, for He alone perfectly knows each heart’s desire and wishes to fulfill it.

It’s one thing to feel overlooked or not chosen by people, but it’s confusing and painful feeling overlooked by God. He’s the one who’s never supposed to let us down. So how do we deal with it when it seems that God doesn’t see us?

Until recently, I thought I understood the way God operates and how to be in His favor. A series of closed doors or “not yets” have led me to ask a new level of tough questions.

You know the certainty you feel when God tells you what to dream for? What to believe for? What to pray about, plan and hope for? That part is clear.
