honestly really enjoying young sherlock, which is a very nice surprise. it's frankly just really fun & everyone is stellar in it, i'm glad i decided to watch it, bc i'm generally ambivalent about sherlock holmes adaptations & i didn't particularly care for guy ritchie's previous endeavor with sherlock tbh.
also don't get all the criticism i've seen of hero & his acting. he's a perfectly good sherlock & i don't buy the 'he's just a pretty face' narrative, or think he's being out acted by anyone (as fantastic as dĂłnal is of course). his sherlock is frankly very endearing to me & i care for this version of him probably more than i've cared for any other (adapted version) before.
also huge shout out to xiao wei, mycroft & cordelia as great highlights for me.
