also don't get all the criticism i've seen of hero & his acting. he's a perfectly good sherlock & i don't buy the 'he's just a pretty face' narrative, or think he's being out acted by anyone (as fantastic as dónal is of course). his sherlock is frankly very endearing to me & i care for this version of him probably more than i've cared for any other (adapted version) before.

heyyy i'm back :D

i don't think that hero fiennes tiffin is getting enough love for young sherlock. like don't get me wrong i loved dónal finn's moriarty and max irons's mycroft it was very good and enjoyable, but hero was equally as amazing ! i haven't seen After, but from what i've heard is that it's not that great, and considering that, young sherlock is realllllyyy good. i was so surprised at how well done sherlock is and how much i enjoyed his portrayal. i think it really shines when sherlock finds out about beatrice and breaks down in silas's arms like genuinely it was so freaking good ALSO (spoilers) when he got shot that got me damn he's really good

i guess this is really just me sending my love for hero's portrayal cause i think he's totally underrated and i can't wait to see what the second season has in store for him! and also! like his accent for sherlock is perfect cause i was really surprised when i found out that his natural accent is so very different

so. let’s repeat all together: these characters come from very different universes and thus situations !!!!!! their trauma may not be the same but it doesn’t automatically mean that it’s not just as painful and impactful on them. 

yes, haymitch watched lenore dove die right in front of him, and went through so many horrors that are genuinely horrible and disgusting. nothing may ever come close to what he went through. 

at the same time, however, percy had to watch annabeth getting taken. probably thought for at least a moment that she’d died as well. and then when he had the confirmation that she was alive he still had to be a powerless witness to her basically being tortured with the burden of the sky, completely unable to help her in any way (and knowing she was held hostage by someone he didn’t trust at all either) (mind you all this happened while they were both only fourteen) but oh since she didn’t die it’s not the same apparently (cue nurse meme being tired af) 

(and don't even get me started on the trauma they both got out their time in tartarus please.)

peter’s own trauma shouldn’t be undermined either. nobody in the world remembers him. NO ONE. he had to let go of his girlfriend and his best friend, the only remaining loved ones he had. and he may have made peace with it bc it was for the greater good, but it doesn’t make it any less painful ????
