『イベント記録』とは、開催したイベント毎に詳細な情報を掲載したページで、2000年度は 37のイベントの『イベント記録』を掲載しています。「参加者一覧表」や「コース図」、「リザルト」の他に「当日配布資料」や「事前広報資料」などを掲載していて、操作ボタンも 以前より大きくして、英文表記も加えて、より分かり易くしていますので、2000年に参加した人だけでなく、同様なイベントを企画したい人の参考になると思います。 The "Event Records" section contains detailed information for each event held. ＜ 追伸 / Postscript ＞ GRA発足の1991年から10年間、【 ジムカーナ文化の創造 】を目標に、他に例のない様々なイベント開催や活動を活発に行ない、「タイム指数」や「実力発揮度」の導入や「全員スタッフ全員参加制」の採用で、国規模でジムカーナ文化の振興は果たせと思います。ただ、同じく目標に掲げていた【 オートバイの社会的認知度の向上 】については、多様なイベント開催だけでは達成できず、その目標達成の為に、活動内容や形態の見直す『脱皮計画』を始める事になり、2000年は 多様なイベント開催の最後の年となりました。 For 10 years since GRA's founding in 1991, with the goal of [creating a gymkhana culture], we actively held various unprecedented events and activities. Through the introduction of "time index" and "performance evaluation," and the adoption of a "all staff and all participants" system, we believe we achieved the promotion of gymkhana culture on a national scale. However, regarding our other goal, [improving the social recognition of motorcycles], this could not be achieved through holding diverse events alone. Therefore, in order to achieve that goal, we began a "transformation plan" to review the content and format of our activities, and 2000 became the last year of holding diverse events.

GRAは、1994年、数多くのジムカーナイベントを開催していた当時から、『車両レギュレーション』を独自に制定していました。 現在は、以前のような イベント活動は積極的には行なっていないので『車両レギュレーション』はさほど注目されない存在になっていますが、レギュレーションを制定した理念は現在も変わる事なく持ち続けています。 GRA has independently established its own "Vehicle Regulations" since 1994, when it was actively hosting numerous gymkhana events. While we are no longer as actively involved in event activities as before, and therefore the "Vehicle Regulations" are not as prominent, the philosophy behind their establishment remains unchanged.

そこで、改めて『車両レギュレーション』を、画像と英語訳をつけて、より分かり易く公表する予定です。それによって、社会の中で、オートバイを走らせて楽しむ為に必要な『意識』を広く伝える事が出来ると考えています。 Therefore, we plan to republish the "Vehicle Regulations" with images and English translations to make them easier to understand. We believe this will allow us to widely communicate the "awareness" necessary for enjoying motorcycle riding in society.

私たちは、「オートバイに、いつまでも、楽しく、安全に乗り続ける」ために、大切だと考えている事をこれからも発信を続けていきますので、どうぞ、ご期待下さい。 We will continue to share what we believe is important for "continuing to enjoy riding motorcycles safely and for a long time to come," so please look forward to our future updates.

1992年12月6日、タイヤメーカーの DUNLOPの協賛によって、初めて開催された DUNLOP杯 ジムカーナ大会に、ブロス P1 で参加した際の動画です。広い会場に作られたツインコースを2台同時にスタートする、観客に勝敗が分かり易いレース形式でした。 This video shows a run in the BROS P1 at the inaugural Dunlop Cup Gymkhana event, held on December 6, 1992, with sponsorship from the tire manufacturer Dunlop. It featured a race format where two vehicles started simultaneously on twin courses laid out in a spacious venue, making the outcome easy for the audience to follow.

https://gra-npo.org/office/director/video/1992_video.html#19921206 前年の 1991年まで使用した カワサキZ750GP から、2気筒エンジン車の ホンダ ブロスP1（650㏄）へと乗り換えた 1992年は、参加した殆どの大会で 総合1位の成績を納めた年になりました。Z750GP でも総合1位の成績を残していたのですが、街中で殆ど見かけなかった程の 不人気車だった ブロスに乗り換えた理由は、動画の中でも登場している、友人の アフリカツイン（750㏄） に乗った経験で、その ホンダ製の V型2気筒エンジンの素性の良さをしったからです。別の友人が乗っていた、同じく V型2気筒エンジン搭載の スパーダ（250㏄） に試乗した体験と併せて、彼らの車両の中間に位置していた ブロス を、全く試乗せずに購入したのです。しかし、ブロスは、参考にした車両とは違って、スポーツ走行には殆ど向いていない性格だと購入後に気付き、それから、少しずつ セッティング変更を繰り返した 思い出のある車両でした。 1992 was the year I switched from the Kawasaki Z750GP (which I had used until 1991) to the Honda Bros P1 (650cc), a twin-cylinder machine; I went on to take first place overall in almost every event I entered that year. While I had also achieved overall victories with the Z750GP, I chose to switch to the Bros—a bike so unpopular it was rarely seen on the streets—after experiencing a friend's Africa Twin (750cc) and realizing the inherent quality of Honda's V-twin engine. Combined with a test ride on another friend's Spada (250cc)—which also featured a V-twin engine—I decided to buy the Bros (a model positioned between those two in terms of displacement) without ever test-riding it myself. However, after purchasing it, I discovered that the Bros had a character ill-suited for sporty riding—unlike the bikes I had used as references—making it a machine I fondly remember for the gradual, repeated adjustments I made to its setup over time.

オートバイのチェーンの調整を誤ると、リアタイヤのグリップ喪失から転倒に繋がります。この動画では、安全性とドライバビリティを高め、チェーンの寿命を延ばす最も最適な調整方法を紹介します。

Incorrectly adjusting your motorcycle chain can lead to loss of rear tire grip and a fall. This video demonstrates the optimal adjustment method to improve safety and drivability, and extend chain life.

チェーンの調整は、オートバイの整備を心掛けているライダーにとって、オイル交換やプラグ交換に次いで、関心の高い整備だと思います。しかし、「チェーンの調整」については、車両メーカーの「サービスマニュアル」でさえ、明確な数値による整備基準が示されていない事が殆どで、曖昧な整備基準の影響で、整備現場では誤った整備が行なわれている事は少なくありません。そして、それが要因と思われる転倒事故も確認されています。

Chain adjustment is likely one of the most important maintenance tasks for motorcycle riders, second only to oil changes and spark plug replacements. However, even vehicle manufacturers' service manuals rarely provide clear numerical standards for chain adjustment, and this ambiguity often leads to incorrect maintenance in repair shops. Accidents resulting from these incorrect adjustments have also been confirmed.

この動画では、スイングアームを備える殆どのオートバイで適用できる最善の調整方法を、その原理や作業手順を紹介している他に、一度 “最適調整” を行なえば、チェーンが伸びて再調整が必要な時でも、簡単に “最適調整” ができる “技” も紹介しています。また、左右のチェーンアジャスターの目的の違いも解説しているので、オートバイをより良い態に保ちたいと考えているライダーには大きな参考になると信しています。

This video introduces the best adjustment method applicable to most motorcycles with swingarms, explaining its principles and procedures. It also demonstrates a technique for easily achieving optimal adjustments again when the chain stretches and needs readjustment. Furthermore, it explains the difference in purpose between the left and right chain adjusters, making it a valuable resource for riders who want to keep their motorcycles in top condition.

6月23日、赤穂市の交通公園の路面清掃作業は、曇空に恵まれて、身体的な負荷が軽く、ようやく「ロータリーエリア」の清掃を完了するする事が出来ました。 On June 23rd, the road cleaning work at Ako City's traffic park was blessed with cloudy skies, making the physical strain lighter, and we were finally able to complete the cleaning of the "rotary area." 『 ロータリーエリア / Rotary Area 』 今回も、路面の浸食と破壊が最も顕著な『ロータリーエリア』の清掃でしたが、最後に残ったエリアは草たちに浸食された箇所が “比較的” 少なく、曇り空だった事もあり、前回までよりも少し早めに終えられました。そして、これで、ようやく『ロータリーエリア』の清掃は一段落です。後は、定期的な保全作業程度で済む様に願っています。 This time, we cleaned the "Rotary Area," where road erosion and destruction are most evident. However, the last remaining area had relatively few areas encroached upon by weeds, and the cloudy weather allowed us to finish a little earlier than last time. With this, the cleaning of the "Rotary Area" is finally complete. We hope that only periodic maintenance will be necessary from now on.

『 路面破壊 / Road Destruction 』 草たちがアスファルト路面を浸食して、それが路面の破壊を招いている事は何度かお伝えしている通りですが、何故か、この『ロータリーエリア』では多く見受けられます。そして、今回の清掃エリアでも路面に亀裂が走り、縁石と接する部分での崩壊は数多くありました。また、一部、崩壊した箇所をアスファルトで補修された跡も確認できましたが、草たちの勢いは止め切れていません。どちらにしても、崩壊を防ぐ為に、今回も、可能な限り、草を根から抜き去り、余分な土壌を除去していきました。 As we have mentioned several times, weeds are eroding the asphalt road surface, leading to road surface destruction. For some reason, this is particularly prevalent in the "Rotary Area." In this cleaning area, cracks were found in the road surface, and there were numerous collapses where the road meets the curb. We also observed some areas where collapsed sections had been repaired with asphalt, but this has not completely stopped the weeds' growth. In any case, to prevent further collapse, we removed as much weed as possible, including the roots, and removed excess soil.

『 今回の成果 / Results of This Session 』 今回は、約 4時間半の作業で、約26㎡ を清掃し、除去した土砂の量が 40リットルコンテナ 2杯分でした。 This time, we cleaned approximately 26 square meters in about 4.5 hours, removing two 40-liter containers worth of soil and debris.

『 次回の目標 / Goals for Next Time 』 『ロータリーエリア』の清掃は一旦終えて、次回は、草たちによる被害が比較的少ない直線路エリアの清掃を行なう予定です。公園の中央で十字に交わる広い直線路とは異なり、使用頻度が少なかった為なのか、路面表面のアスファルト剥離も少なく、路面の状態は良いエリアです。ただ、使用頻度が少なかった関係か、路面上には砂や小石が多く散乱し、路肩には厚く土砂が堆積し、縁石部分は草たちが浸食しています。しかし、このエリアの清掃を終えた時には、幼児や児童たちにとって、更に安全に楽しめる公園になるでしょう。そして、次回は 40㎡ を目標に清掃を行ないます。 We have finished cleaning the rotary area for now. Next time, we plan to clean the straight road area, which is relatively less affected by weeds. Unlike the wide straight road that intersects in the center of the park, this area has less use, so the asphalt surface is less peeling and the road surface is in good condition. However, perhaps due to the infrequent use, there is a lot of sand and pebbles scattered on the road surface, a thick layer of soil and debris has accumulated on the shoulders, and weeds are encroaching on the curbs. However, once this area is cleaned, the park will be even safer for toddlers and children to enjoy. Next time, we aim to clean 40 square meters.

GRAが、1995年から、日本全国各地を転戦しながら獲得ポイントを競う・ジムカーナグランプリ を開始してから 4年目になり、3月に沖縄GPがシリーズ戦に加わり、地元・沖縄のライダーだけでなく、遠く離れた埼玉や愛知、広島、香川からも多くのライダーが参加して、賑やかで楽しい一日になりました。 GRA started the Gymkhana Grand Prix in 1995, a series of events where riders compete for points across Japan. Now in its fourth year, the Okinawa GP was added to the series in March, and it was a lively and fun day with many riders participating not only from Okinawa but also from far-off places like Saitama, Aichi, Hiroshima, and Kagawa.

今日（6/17）の交通公園を撮影しました。すぐ横にある橋の上からです。 I took photos of the traffic park today (June 17th). These were taken from the bridge right next to it.

2年半前、初めて観た時の画像と較べて、草の青さ以外、あまり大きな違いは見当たりません。 Compared to the photos from when I first saw it two and a half years ago, there aren't many significant differences, except for the greenness of the grass.

河川敷の中、ちょっと不思議な光景ですが、僕にとっては魅力的でした。 しかし、公園の中に入ると、僕にとっては悲惨な路面状態でした。 It's a somewhat unusual sight in the middle of the riverbank, but it was fascinating to me. However, once inside the park, the road surface was in a terrible state for me.

だから、2024年3月、路面清掃を始めました。 しかし、公園は広く、土砂堆積は酷く、シャベル1本、ホウキ1本では、一日に出来る清掃は僅かです。 That's why, in March 2024, I started cleaning the road surface. However, the park is large, and the accumulation of sediment is severe, so with just one shovel and one broom, I can only clean a small amount in a day.

でも、例え、橋の上から観て変わってなくても、路面状態は確実に良くなっています。 そして、2年半前と較べて、利用する方も増えている気がします。 だから、一般道での不幸な事故を減らす為に、これからも続けていきます。 But even if it doesn't look different from the bridge, the road surface is definitely improving. And compared to two and a half years ago, I feel like more people are using it. Therefore, I will continue this work to reduce unfortunate accidents on public roads.

【 追伸 / Postscript 】 この撮影をしている時、生まれて初めて、“エイ” を目撃しました。 川の中で黒い影の様に泳ぐ姿でした。 初めは見間違いかと思いました。 しかし、左右のヒレ（？）をはためかす様に泳いでいました。 While taking these photos, I saw a stingray for the first time in my life. It was swimming in the river like a dark shadow. At first, I thought I was mistaken. However, it was swimming with its fins (?) flapping on both sides. 調べると、瀬戸内の海の海水温上昇に伴って、暖かい海の「エイ」の目撃情報も増えている様です。 そして、ここは河口から 3-4㎞ 上流の汽水域です。 彼らの好む二枚貝などの水棲動物も多い場所です。 また、出会える事を願っています。 でも、撮影しても、良い画像は撮れそうにありませんね。 Upon researching, it seems that sightings of rays from warmer seas are increasing due to rising seawater temperatures in the Seto Inland Sea. And this is a brackish water area 3-4 km upstream from the river mouth. It's a place with many aquatic animals, such as bivalves, that they like. I hope to encounter it again. But even if I tried to photograph it, I don't think I'd be able to get a good picture.

2020年6月、COVIT-19（コロナ禍）で世界が恐怖に包まれた頃、僕はその状況に正しく対処する為、世界中から正しい情報を集めて多くの人へ発信していました。当時は、大変な時期でしたが、世界中の人々がお互いに共感し合っていた頃でした。

In June 2020, when the world was gripped by fear due to COVID-19, I was gathering accurate information from around the world and sharing it with many people in order to deal with the situation correctly. It was a difficult time, but it was also a time when people all over the world empathized with one another.

しかし、今は、全世界が直面している環境や人権、エネルギー問題など共通の課題に対して、世界の権力者たちは個々の思惑で動き、身勝手な嘘を平然とつき、武力を行使して市民を大量に虐殺し続けるなど、当時の様な一体感は感じられません。本来は、あの当時に見えていた『世界市民』こそが世界の主役だと自覚して課題に立ち向かうべきだと私は信じています。

However, now, regarding the common challenges the whole world faces—the environment, human rights, energy problems, etc.—the world's power holders are acting according to their own motives, telling selfish lies without hesitation, and continuing to use force to massacre civilians. The sense of unity we had back then is nowhere to be seen. I believe that the "global citizens" that we saw back then should recognize themselves as the main actors in the world and confront these challenges head-on.

路面清掃報告「草の根」/ Road Cleaning Report: "Grassroots"

6月4日、赤穂市の交通公園の路面清掃作業は、路面が最も傷んでいる「ロータリーエリア」の清掃8日目で、今回は “草の根” による破壊の進行がよく理解できるエリアでした。

On June 4th, the road cleaning work at Ako City's traffic park was carried out in an area where the progression of damage caused by "grassroots" activities was clearly evident.
