Ravenclaw Headcanons

you sound like you’ve got the qualities of a ravenclaw, but it’s really about what you value, rather than what you embody. you’re welcome in our house, but we will support you elsewhere as well :)

hard work has nothing to do with being a ravenclaw. yeah i mean we value it so far as does this hard work get you to where you want to be, but like.... you can love to read as a lazy past time, and you can learn at a slower, more chill pace. but as long as you love it, you’re a ravenclaw.

your house reflects what you value, not what you embody. remember how much hermione valued her high marks and intelligence? or how fiercely ron would defend his friends? or how cunning harry could be? yet they were all gryffindors, despite that they showed the qualities of different houses, because they valued the bravery and valor of gryffindor. so it’s reallyj ust about what you value, not what you display. you will always be welcome among ravenclaws, and if you decide your loyalties lie elsewhere, we will support you there as well.

you can display the qualities of one house and still value the qualities of a different house. i probably display the qualities of gryffindor because i’m hotheaded, i’ll defend something i care about very fiercely, and i admire the bravery that comes with standing up for yourself and others; but when it come down to it, i value the intelligence, creativity, and curiosity of ravenclaws. you can choose which house you want to claim if you have conflicting reports of where you belong, because obviously you show enough of both houses to get both results.

really what it comes down to is what do you personally value, at the end of the day?
