IDEA FOR A PROMARE FIC-- FREEZISH!
SPOILERS FOR THE END OF PROMARE INVOLVED! PROCEED WITH CAUTION!
So, it’s post-cannon by at least a few months
And Aina’s sister & her team are digging into old abandoned Foresight research projects & they find a hibernating prototype of a sorta reverse Burnish
Another product of human experimentation, scientists & doctors used someone who was badly injured in the first World Blaze & in a coma & did all sorts of freaky shit to them
So now they’ve got Freezish powers, complete with armor & mode of transportation
I just have this mental image of bright white Burnish armor & UGH I WISH I COULD DRAW
Anyway, at first the team think it’s a robot ‘cause all the files are missing & it’s still wearing its armor when they find it
And the hibernation tube is like suspended animation, but instead of being frozen, it’s in a tube of of molten lava or something
Naturally they wake the Freezish up & it proceeds to freak out ‘cause they’re confused & scared as fuck, freezing everything/one in sight
So Burning Rescue (which Lio, Gueria & Meis are all now part of) is called in but they don’t really know what to do ‘cause everything’s frozen & they’re firefighters, not icefighters
Eventually they just drill their way in
When they get to the center of the building, it’s so cold that anyone not wearing a special suit will freeze to death in less than five minutes
Lio & his crew are super pissed/offended when they see the Freezish (which they still think is a robot) ‘cause it looks like a twisted version of a Burnish
Anyway, a brief fight breaks out between Burning Rescue & the Freezish, with Lio quickly figuring out that it’s not trying to fight back, just defend itself/run away
The Freezish actually protects one of Burning Rescue from some sort of harm
Once they have the Freezish cornered, it curls up into a fetal position & shakes like it’s crying
Which just pisses Lio off even more ‘cause it’s another atrocity Kray has committed
They decide to try to talk to the Freezish & put their weapons away, but every time they try to approach them, it shies away
They figure out that the Freezish is scared of hurting them
Meanwhile, the Freezish is frantically trying to remove their armor, along with a white hot collar around their neck but is unable to do so
Once the collar (which was causing them immense pain) is removed, the Freezish is eventually able to speak
Lio eventually calms them down enough that they’re able to focus & get their armor to recede back into their body
Revealing a very meek, scared human who doesn’t wanna hurt anybody
And has been asleep for 30 some years & they’re family is probably dead & they’re gonna have to deal with that
