you slam your phone down on the small table, right where your makeup artist was doing your stage makeup. promotions at its peak, the person you just argued with in the room right next to yours. sitting inbetween your members, them occasionally glancing over at you with worried faces. even if MYS seemed to love you angry on stage, witnessing it in real time backstage wasn’t quite sunshine and rainbows. Mainly because you were biggest of the bitches out there when you were mad.

Giselle seemed to be understanding your situation as you kept flinching at messages and checked your phone every two seconds.

“let me read the messages.”

she said casually to you like she was discussing about schedules, just watching as you tense all over again and the makeup artist has to redo the eyeliner for the nth time.

“its nothing i prom—“

“I said give me the phone, there’s clearly something going on if you’re acting like someone just shit in your hand.”

Giselle gave you one of those looks, acting like you didn’t curse like a sailor at Beomgyu about 3 minutes ago.

she unlocked your phone with practised ease, already used to reading everything going on. Oh but this was new.

about 2 minutes went by in tense silence, so silent in that room you could hear Beomgyu complaining loudly to Yeonjun nextdoor.

“..right.. tell me why you’re still talking to that?” Giselle asked, genuinely confused.

“Uh.. good dick, obvi. He’s like.. perfect after those horrid music shows with the insufferable fans. You know, sometimes i consider being an ambassador for a deodorant company, just to drop a hint.”

“lets not bring that up.” Karina mumbled softly across the room, trying on her outfit for the dirty work stage.

in this case, heeseung happened to post on weverse on a cold tuesday morning. you haven’t even gotten up from bed yet, but you can hear arguing next door. “what the hell..” you whisper to yourself, getting up and putting on your slippers to go check out whats going on. entering the kitchen at exactly 07:18, a letter on the island. jungwon and jay arguing, sunoo sitting on the couch with an unreadable face and jake literally on the verge of tears.

“what’s going on..? it’s 7 am.. aren’t we like.. supposed to be asleep until 10?” you ask in a confused tone, still oblivious to everything.

“well how about you ask your dearest former member?” jake asked. “you know, since he decided to literally leave us on a random tuesday. listen, sit down. i dont wanna upset you too much.”

you began to worry, pulling out a chair across from jake. “heeseung.. you know how he wanted a solo career for a long time..?”

you froze. no.. you’re still in a dream right? It can’t be true. sure, heeseung has wanted a solo career for a long time, but he would do if within the group. for you.

“well.. belift is a shitty company. we know that from iland and the fact that they debuted 15 years olds. they told him to either stay in the group, or leave the group to pursue his own career.” jake said. he paused, looking for your reaction. when he noticed how distraught you looked, he just got up to pat your shoulder “it’s his choice. he wanted to be solo, we won’t hold him back. yeah?”

“yeah… he.. wanted to be solo. completely fine, not like it matters to me anyways..” you tried to hide your feelings. jay and jungwon still arguing in the background. you got up and left to your room, needing to cry everything off.

“heeseung..heeseung.. no heeseung..?” you were pretty confused. oh no. did he block you? did he block everyone? who knows.

everyone in the room glanced at eachother after you stormed out, all thinking one thing “he’s affected. deep.”
