actually really sexy when someone puts a lot of effort into a character study

they should invent desires that feel good to have

I love characters who have not an iota of ethics, not a whisper of morals, not even a shade of scruples but is so whipped for their more idealistic love interest, that they begrudgingly, out of sheer exasperation and utter resignation born from love, allows them to be their moral compass.

sometimes you're genuinely interested in fictional hets but the fan conception of their getting together is so dire & scary [heterosexually married with babies etc] that you genuinely start to feel it would be a happier ending to you if they just died in each other's arms instead

[about a fictional man i really like & even think is good with the woman in question] i need to kill him before he can get her pregnant

sometimes media is more delicious when stuff with major implications is very much present but also very much glossed over very quickly. like yeah that guy subtly quietly tried to kill himself and alluded to having tried before. anyway
