“Yeah?” Nash shrugs his shoulders as he shoves his hands into his pockets. “Will you please come with me to grab a bite to eat, Yasmin?” He arches a brow as he stands there, waiting for her answer.

"that's better." a small smile forming on her lips, she pushed herself off of the bench. "yes, i will go with you get something to eat."  she was hungry anyway.  with skipping breakfast that morning due to running late and all. "i'll pay, unless you want too."

Elsa was in the park, rocking her six-month-old son, Roman in her arm, and watching her five years old, Leon playing in the park to waste his energy. She was still with her white coat, from work. She didn’t have time to change when she needed to pick up her boys. ❛ Me too… ❜ She was scared of the shadow. And only her to be alone, with two kids in a town that only has tragedy. ❛ I don’t really want to imagine. ❜

she wanted to say all they could do was to try to have a good holiday season. but how would they if this kept happening throughout? would anyone even want to celebrate at this point with the shadow back? who knew. yasmin herself wasn't looking forward to what was possibly to come. but all she could do was try to not think about it. at least she could try to do that. "sometimes i just wish for once we could get through the holidays without anything bad happening. but that won't happen most likely."

this had to be some nightmare she was in. one she would wake up from and everything would be okay. but it wasn't. the shadow was back. which did scare her a bit. for being the daughter of an army general,  the fact that one thing made her scared was rare. "some how that hope of having some normalcy has vanished into thin air." she noted. a small sigh escaping her lips, she leaned back on the bench as she sat there. "i was hoping for a nice holiday season but that probably won't be happening now."

a yawn escaping her lips, she knew staying up late last night was a bad idea. she should have gone to bed early like she usually did. but she didn't. putting her order in, she gave enough money to also pay for the person behind her. turning around, she looked at the person. "i already paid for what ever you're getting." she replied. it was a rare thing for her to do something like this. pay for someone elses order. but she was feeling nice. maybe it was because it was the holiday season. who knew. moving to the side, she leaned against the counter as she waited for her order.

a small sigh escaped her lips as she grabbed the last remainig food she would need for the week. as well as for thursday. with having family over, having enough food was a must. "cranberry sauce is a no." she muttered as she crossed that off her list. the past few years she had gotten it, no one had any of it. "one of these years, i plan on doing absolutely nothing on thanksgiving. someone else can do the cooking for once." she noted, talking to herself.

"is this you asking me to come with you?" she asked, raising an eyebrow as she looked up at him. closing her book, she put it back in her bag as she sat there. "maybe if you ask nicely if i'll come with you, i might just say yes." she pointed out. the whole coming up and demanding thing wasn't something she liked.  she didn't like someone just demanding that she do something with them.

Yasmin: well so much for having a normal holiday season

Yasmin: you doing okay though? i can come over for a little bit if you want.

Yasmin: don't worry about me by the way.

𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐓𝐀 𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖𝐒 𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐀𝐍'𝐓 fight the oncoming season, no matter how hard she tries to fight the bite of winter that has come nipping at autumn’s heels. It’s a feeling that she knows all too well, but it’s also a reminder of the passage of time. The amount of time since her own losses, since Halloween. "She’s got good taste, but then again.. not surprised.” Greta laughs, shaking her head. “We both know my kid, she’s keeping those spider decorations in her room all year round. I wouldn’t be shocked if I turned around one day and Wednesday Addams was in her place.” Their conversation was a reminder to check in at the drive-in, figure out what might be playing around the holiday season. Maybe the four of them could make an adventure out of it. “Have you guys watched Elf yet this year? My gothic child will emerge for just a moment to enjoy that film.”

"oh gosh. emine would keep the christmas decorations up all year if she could. that girl loves christmas." not just because her birthday was a week before yasmins too. but because it brought together the family.  every year where they held their christmas gathering changed too. this year, it was going to be at her parents place. which made sense. they had more than enough space for the family. "not yet, but it is on the list of christmas movies to watch." she was sure they would get to it soon. with how often they were watching holiday movies and all. "you and lydia are more than welcome to join us one of these nights, you know. could order in. maybe pizza or even chinese food." she pointed out.

       “ yasmin. ” theresa smiled, standing at the front door as she looked over at her friend (and birthday twin). sometimes she does forget that she’s not back home in hartley avenue, due to her mother’s reluctance to set her only child back loose into this great big scary world after she got stabbed. however, as she looked behind her at all the houses, she remembered that she was in horwick. “ it’s nice to see you! it’s chilly out here, come on in. ” she moved to the side to let her friend come inside. “ don’t suppose you went to the masquerade party, did you? ” she asked, moving a strand of hair from her face.

"me, go to a party? that would be a hell to the no for me." she replied as she walked inside. she wasn't in the party mood either. not after all the stuff that had happened. the last thing she wanted was to go to one and think that everything was okay. "I ended up staying home with emine, watching christmas movies and eating pizza with her." a night that she enjoyed more than anything. she got to relax while spending time with her daughter. it was a win for her. "i take it that you didn't go either?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

Yasmin: maybe this weekend?

Yasmin: we could order pizza and watch some movies.

a small yawn escaping her lips, she grabbed the two cups of coffee before bringing them over to the table.  "i'm pretty sure emine and i stayed up too late last night watching christmas movies." she noted as she handed greta her cup. "not my fault we were watching some good movies." emine called from the couch. shaking her head, yasmin laughed a bit as she sat down in the chair next to her best friend. "we watched all three santa clause movies to start with which was her pick. and my pick was a christmas story." she knew it was going to be played on tv for twenty four hours. but owning the DVD of the movie meant she could watch it any time. an added plus for her.

𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐍 𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐋𝐋, 𝐘𝐀𝐒𝐌𝐈𝐍 𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐒 to be clinging to some kind of reality that she could have changed this. Change Ronnie. Perhaps it’s the guilt weighing on her that she had once cared for Danny Anderson, but this is something that doesn’t phase Greta. He had been so good at pretending, putting on a mask that he was sane, he was normal when in reality, he was the epitome of the darkness shrouding Hidehill, even as the storm broke. “I’d… I’d like that a lot.” Greta nods, knowing her father would be in full agreement with this. She could already hear him in her head: go see Yasmin, give yourself some peace. He had always liked the woman Greta was lucky enough to call her best friend. “I just know the girls would love that too… they remind me of us, the two of them.”

He could have hurt me too at some point. That was a phrase that struck her to her very core, limbs becoming still for a moment as she processed. “Hey..” She eventually says, taking her best friend’s hand in hers. “We’re safe now. And I don’t know I would do without you.. thank you for always being here.” Coming back had gifted Greta so many amazing people and it had brought her even closer to Yasmin. “That sounds like heaven. Truly.. I can’t wait to see the girls just be kids.” Of course she pauses for a moment as she thinks about Ledger. Rowan. “Before we leave.. I just want to make sure Rowan has people looking out for her.. Ledger..” She can’t even say it. Not after she almost lost Monroe the same way. “…He overdosed. He’s…. here too.”

"pretty sure they'll end up making a blanket fort to sleep in for the night." she noted, a soft smile forming on her lips as she thought about it.  she could remember those days of doing that. getting all of the blankets in the house and making a blanket fort to hang out in for the day and the night as well.  it was times like those that she missed the most. being a kid and not having to really worry about anything bad. all one had to worry about as  a kid was school and that was it. "you know, we could totally make our own blanket fort too. i do have a good amount of blankets at my house. you know how i am. buying some every year and all." she joked. though she was serious about them making their own blanket fort.

"and i wouldn't know what to do without you." aside from her family, greta had been one of the few people in her life who she cherished a lot.  she had become like a sister to her. with only having a brother, that meant a  lot to her. "think of the cute guys we could meet down there too." she teased. that was always an added bonus when going on vacation.  at the mention of ledger, her stomach turned.   "he...he overdosed?" that wasn't like him. she knew ledger. she knew he wouldn't do something like that. "do you know if he's going to be okay?"
