Sometimes cutting one idea saves the whole piece.

All frames have lineart and basic colors, and a few of them even have shading!

Alright, she's blinking. Now only other frames, shading, background and maybe in next 1000 years it will be done 😅

I drew the first frame lineart four times so the animation gets a line boil. It’s a tiny detail, but it feel much more alive now.

Alright, I should finally finish the lineart this weekend. I’ve been working on this animation for about two weeks. The head turn is only five frames, but it took way more effort than I expected. I had already drawn and animated the hair once, but then I ended up redesigning it and animating it all over again. I have no idea how people make long, smooth animations. This is hard.

The final look is meant to feel like it was drawn with colored pencils.

I didn’t manage to finish it this month. It’ll probably take all of March, but I want to do it properly!

I've decided not to finish it this month. Instead of thinking, "I need to use the free Tumblr boost," I should focus on drawing it as well as I can.
