And she would show us documentaries about risk-taking and novelty seeking behaviors that teens often do and how we don't have developed pre-frontal cortexes and she would constantly mention it all the time. She used reasoning around that the tell us that we basically shouldn't try to have fun because it might lead to different pathways in our brains as adults which make us less good at having jobs, so we should focus on only healthy habits for now.

She would also lied to the school administrators when someone in our class told them about something she had said/done (she was racist and xenophobic and also one time told us we should feel bad for hitler, plus had some rules in her class that weren't really allowed at my school) and somehow she got away with it because my school believed her more than us

Oh and one time when i got upset over a bad grade in another class she noticed and made me tell her why i was upset and then told my school councilor about it even though i told her that i didn't want her to many times.

i was in third grade during the pandemic and basically all i could do for entertainment was watch youtube and play video games (my only sibling is a lot older than me so he didn't live with us, and my parents both had to do online work most of the day) i can only assume that most other people my age did the same or similar things.

of course we're going to look at screens, we kind of had to for like, a year and a half and then they were sort of integrated into the education system (at least where i live). we have to do all of our math work online and most of our assignments are in google slides. of course we're going to go home and do the same thing, especially when we can't do much else.

what do they even expect us to do instead?
