THE AMOUNT OF GAME REVEALS THAT HAVE BEEN GOING ON SINCE THE END OF LAST WEEK IS WILD + I SAW TADC [NO SPOILERS- IF YOU POST SPOILERS YOUR COMMENTS WILL BE NUKED, DON'T RUIN IT FOR THE OTHERS!]
Yo! So like.. I'm going feral because the end of last week through today has been ABSOLUTELY WILD in terms of game announcements! Genuinely I'm a little overwhelmed by the amount of announcements for games I've been waiting on either for over a decade for or not.
I've ESPECIALLY been waiting on Spyro and The Wolf Among Us for SO LONG.. I'm so happy they're both coming back. But even still there's SO MANY others that were announced or have been announced recently that I'm excited for
The games I'm especially excited for:
•Splatoon Raiders [been excited, just even more excited with a Splatoon 3 Raiders Splatfest coming up as well]
•The Wolf Among Us 2 + A Wolf Among Us Remastered
& I guess I'm.. curious? For The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Now before the Zelda fans get mad, it's genuinely my least favorite Zelda, and I have my reasons. My first Zelda was Twilight Princess. I was like.. 8 years old. Twilight Princess still is my favorite Zelda to this day. I love a LOT of the other Zelda games as well, but personally? I always felt like OoT was WAAAY overrated. I am literally a 1998 baby, born the year the game released, but I genuinely do not like OoT much at all. It was amazing for it's time sure, considering what all it did that was new back then, but it's really not that interesting to me. I always felt like the story was a bit lacking, and the game felt a bit flat. I know a lot of people feel similarly to BOTW and I can understand why, but at least BOTW had a bigger more open world for exploration even if there wasn't much story. NOW, don't get me wrong, I'm curious to see what they're doing with the remake, and the game could have been WORSE, but genuinely? It's still my least favorite Zelda at this current time and I don't think a remake will change much unless they actually ADD onto the game/story, which a lot of people probably won't want anyway. I'm cautiously curious about the remake, but other than that I don't necessarily have any HUGE feelings about it. Usually I'd be more excited for a Zelda game, and I knew this was coming because people wouldn't shut up about it, but I think I'd have preferred a new Zelda OR them actually getting the rest of the older Zelda games on the Switch (*cough* Like Twilight Princess *cough*) than releasing a remake of this game. BUT- I'm still willing to wait and give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe the remake will be even better than the original ever was, maybe it'll be more interesting, maybe the graphics will be beautiful. So I'm cautiously curious about this upcoming game. I'm not as excited as I am with the others on this list- but I am excited in a sense, I suppose?
Also I saw TADC on Sunday w my partner and HOLY SHIT.. no spoilers but y'all SHOULD GO SEE IT if you can find it near you + can afford it!! It genuinely was worth it even if it was.. really bittersweet for me 🥹 I recommend bringing tissues as well. My partner cried and they almost NEVER cry, and I cried a few times myself. It's WORTH the time and money I PROMISE.
Gooseworx I know you'll never see this but THANK YOU for this amazing show. This show is beautiful and I'm so sorry so many fans have treated you so poorly over this lovely creation that you envisioned and brought to life. I got into the show STUPID LATE, like.. I think it was either late last year or early this year- I think it was either right before or after episode 7 came out because I do believe it was after I got out of the ER the first time? I think the first time anyway. But I do believe that's when we started watching it together. I avoided it for so long because of the multiple eyes of the Abstractions being such a HUGE trigger for me [I have trypophobia+some sorta phobia to do w multiple eyes- it may be so triggering because it feels like I'm being watched/stared at 24/7 and I hate that feeling+feeling like I'm being watched+like I'm screwing up everything] But.. I was laying in bed last night and had the realization that somehow I feel like watching the creation that she, Gooseworx, made actually has been HELPING me. Even if it's only been a little and it's been slowly. It still urks me and makes me uncomfortable, but the Abstractions have somehow made a bigger impact on my life than I ever thought possible, along with the rest of the show. I can't even begin to express just how much EACH and EVERY. SINGLE. CHARACTER. Means to me. Each and every one has had an impact in my life since I started watching the show and even though I only started watching recently, I did see clips of it with my partner last year [and honestly since 2023 I've had random clips show up in my feed I just never looked into it back then] before I was able to watch the show with them. My partner went through the show to even warn me when the Abstractions would show up at first, so that I could watch it with them. Somehow, I got to a point where they didn't really bother me as much as they did at first. There's something so.. captivating about them, actually. The colorfulness of their eyes I think is what draws me in. Reminds me of jawbreakers &/or glitching screens. They're not.. actually as scary as they originally looked. Funny enough, at first I actually also really did NOT like the way Caine looked, he creeped me out a bit. But then I genuinely fell in LOVE with his personality and his voice. I ended up loving his design after awhile, too. This show has.. brought so much comfort and joy and laughter to me, as well as tears and concern. I've never watched a show that has moved me as much as this one has.. Pomni, Jax, Gangle, Zooble, Kinger, Ragatha. They all mean so much to me, it's genuinely been an adventure watching this show. Thank you to all the amazing voice actors, the amazing animators, the creator of the show.. all of you have made such a lovely show and I cannot express just how much it genuinely means to me, and how much I KNOW it means to SO MANY other people. THANK YOU.. Goodbye, The Amazing Digital Circus. You really WERE, amazing, and I can't believe it's over honestly 🥹 Thank you for everything.
Sorry for all the rambling y'all I have been VERY EMOTIONAL the last few days it's been a ROLLERCOASTER 💔
