I think I'm a puppy because my tail would probably wag for half the people I know. I'm the kind that wanders from person to person just to make sure everyone's okay before curling up wherever I'm wanted. I'll sit beside you while you talk, trail after you if you look lonely, bring you little things that made me think of you, and get excited every time I see you even if we only said goodbye an hour ago. I don't really understand pretending not to care. If you're one of my people, you'll know it. I'll lean against your shoulder, follow you through crowded places without complaint, wait outside until you're ready, and be happy just because I get to exist near you. I don't think puppies are supposed to have just one owner anyway. I think they're happiest when they have a whole pack of people to love, and enough affection to keep coming back with the same happy heart every single time.
