We often inject desire as proof that there remain obstacles towards achieving freedom. Or else, face the difficult reality that one already has freedom, and yet, nothing to say. The reality that, it is your imagination, and not your means, that is lacking. But your imagination has receded with your spirit and your spirit has been suppressed by shame. At first, your shame prevents you from acting altogether. Later on, it can manifest as anger and resentment projected outwards, external reasons for your inaction. Every strategy employed to deny shame only bolsters it further. Of course, the only way to process shame is to actually feel it. That is, exercising freedom and its consequences. Vulnerability and its shame.
