Ok it's been a very long time so I'd thought I'd update anyone who's known my page or not. Now that I'm actually using social media as intended, (to talk about literally anything I want) as I've done with my Twitter, I'm officially welcoming myself back regardless of how dead this account is. Obey me has served me well and I will be back once I care enough about them to, but I'm back to my Arcana ways, the things that's truly started my journey on Tumblr. I'm happily welcoming myself back into the community and ready to talk about my oc's I love with my whole heart and I'm showing off my Arcana oc Cell (I honest to god never thought I'd meet someone w that name but little did I know I met someone with that name and hair like 5 days ago it was insane also crazy cause they look almost the same and r the same ethnicity)
1. Excella Nansen but she hates her first name and only goes by Cell. Growing up people would call her Cella Bella which she hated but stopped fighting.
2. Cell's familiar hasn't been firmly decided but I like the idea of a horse because Cell in my headcanon represents death better than Valdemar so the similarity of the horse in death as well as they're kind of weird creatures makes sense for her character. I did consider wooly bear caterpillars though and jelly fish.
3. Cell I feel specializes in magic that benefits her most in the moments so things like dragging a chair close to her or getting rid of headaches on herself. She always wanted to learn cool looking spells but she doesn't actually excell unless she's out of control emotionally which never happens. (Like a bomb about to explode if she finds out the person she loves got hurt or killed). Cliche I know.
4. As mentioned before I think Death suits her more than the fool. She is a fool don't get me wrong but I always thought Valdemar was more closely related to the devil because of how evil they are. Death isn't evil, it's just a thing that must happen eventually. That's Cell's character, she understands death better than most people would. She's accepted it and doesn't dread or fear death, but she doesn't actively try to push that idea onto others. It's why I feel death can understand her as well. Cell in particular is pretty inept at socializing worse than Muriel and sticks out like a sore thumb just about everywhere. She looks like a ghoul so like she doesn't blend in. I think that's why death also sees her. There's a sort of relatability. People don't hate her, but they find her uncomfortable. Like death.
5. Cell is a quiet but curious person who likes to learn in ways that benefit her. She is selfish in that sense and she is very attracted to shiny things. Above all she is determined and more willing to do whatever it takes than most people. I feel that kind of determination makes her a lot like an insect or a bear or tiger in the way they hunt.

8. True Neutral. Cell in herself is the most boring and neutral person you will ever meet but that's her charm.

11. This is complicated. Cell hated Asra for leaving and I think I wanted to write that Cell was deeply in love with Asra but him leaving her was the reason she fell out of love. It was like abandoning a dog, only her loyalty towards Asra shattered afterwards. When she discovers idk how yet about Asra's gift I think she forgives him for leaving her. But she didn't like that it was his guilt that brought her back and for him to make that decision. I want to say that her and Asra now share like a bond similar to familiars.
12. Cell who is drawn to riches and shiny things was absolutely floored and as well as head over her heels. Nadia who is her current canonical partner of course Cell is going to love it. But when she was requested she felt the most self conscious she ever was. Normally she doesn't think about herself with criticism but she genuinely felt like she didn't belong.
13. Cell in Lucio's route has a special connection with Melchior, them both relating to looking chopped as hell. Aside from that she's in wonder about all the palace animals including the fancy eels in the moat and the peacocks.
14. I wanted to make cell look as boring as possible but still beauty shines through if you look for it. I find her outfit appealing but if you compare it to others it could be very dull. It's reserved but there are elements that are charming. Like her mesh turtle neck and flat shoes. I have decided that since Cell is attracted to shiny things I always wanted to make her familiar or animal she represents the Dung beetle. I think it pairs well in the story with the red scarabs as her being more of an Egyptian scarab that also shows that despite the muddy and well shit coloured exterior in her everyday clothes that just under their wings is something beautiful.
15. Cell I wrote as a character from the North who hated the cold, growing up in dreary cold, snow, slush, ice. She grew sick of it. Her inspiration to move to Vesuvia was in search of the most comfortable temperature to live in so she wouldn't have to wear layers or take them off.
16. Cell for the most part grew up with nothing that mattered to her except her mother. For the most part she only has a couple sweaters of hers she keeps and wears to sleep.
17. As for her some of the treasures she likes to hoard most she keeps in a box such as pretty silk cloths and shiny rocks.
18. Cell's tendency of impressions she makes on people usually causes them to leave with a chill crawling up their spine. She has an off putting aura that usually goes unnoticed but she has as much aura a ghost would have.
19. Cell despises conflict and usually doesn't handle it well. Her determination is for the most part her only motivation that gets her in conflict. Her ghoulish nature typically deters potential conflict and almost acts as a shield. Because she is so neutral and boring this usually makes conflict pretty rare.

21. (Blank) fun fact Cell needs to have the bath first and it needs to be hot or else she will genuinely become angry.
22. Cell's familiar in this question I'll decide as the horse. It's a family working horse used to draw carriages and plow fields. Ergil, a large black horse I'll probably deisgn as a Clydesdale. Cell's father who she never met had gifted the horse to the family as a gift for Cell's birth, Yet Cell didn't get along with him initially when she overheard his judgment towards her. Beyond that Cell didn't like the chores it took to keep his pastor clean and her younger sisters often liked him more. It took a long while for her to realize it wasn't normal for horses to speak. Eventually when Cell left for Vesuvia to help with the plague she rode Ergil all the way there. That's when she began to connect with him better. The two of them hardly speak to each other but the respect was mutual.
23. Cell's humor is one of silence often coming across as funny in her interactions and her silence like a (•••) or a pulled face. How she actually jokes as in her consciously being funny (appose to something she does others find funny) is by usually being witty with quick short answers or long winded jokes she can crack in a bar.
24. Cell I've used in multiple different worlds and one thing I think that comes up most often is dancing. I was always fascinated by the idea of her being a professional dancer because it's so out of pocket for her. I typically see her always standing out in style, using her more traditional northern style dances with a mixture of eastern folk dancing, lots of hip movements and fluid. The idea I wanted to put in peoples minds is like seeing a person you would never expect to be mesmerizing.
25. Cell is very easily annoyed tricks and tacky "magicians" that don't actually use magic. She also detests boredom. Used to working as a palace guard in the winter back in her home town she is sick and tired of doing nothing. If someone ever tells her to wait or to stay still she immediately gets upset.
26. Cell I imagine people would think she sleeps like a corpse but I think the fun of her reality is she tosses and turns and flops all over the place in her sleep, completely restless and completely in a deep sleep. For her I think she likes to sleep with lots of blankets but can sleep almost anywhere.
27. The Deja vu that Cell experiences typically are triggered by scents, textures and melodies. She has a hard time remembering people and faces but she has a deeper connection with real world items and songs or dances that she was accustomed to growing up, I would say mainly because it has the most emotional significance to her that she can't change.

Highly reccomend doing this with your oc's even if they're not from the Arcana just because the depth really allows you to shape them as much as possible. You will be hearing more from me and Cell.
