Just a GTWS Fan

Another theory is that it's just designed that way on purpose to keep the components cooler, since I'd imagine the processing power generates a lot of heat, and maybe it was just so hot that keeping it open was the best bet, with fans still underneath some of the components to push the heat out. The reason it might have this feature while the Glamrocks do not is that it's an older model, and they might have a cooling system that's a bit more up to date.

Sometimes ill make it to where they dont to start off with (because Fazbear entertainment is lazy), but they'd be modified later (by y/n) to add the faceplates.

ALSO the cooling thing, I hc that artificial breathing helps with the cooling systems. It pulls cooler air in and pushes hot air out, and it gives the animatronics actual reasons to need to "breathe" that isn't based on a biological need.

For my DCA OCs, both of them are somewhat upgraded models. Well, Blackout was built with those upgrades, but his body (a spare, odd-looking Daycare Attendant model) was built at the same time Sun and Moon were given those upgrades to begin with.

Mine can eat food through an artificial digestive system. They can sleep as well. Going into sleep mode slows down the drainage of their battery and can recharge small increments of energy, but it's not as effective as using a charging solution and can't be replaced.

Similarly, food can be used to give small amounts of energy as well. The ability was given to them because of Glamrock Chica's habits, so all the animatronics can actually do this. For mysterious reasons, reprogramming wouldn't work on her...

They can throw up. They don't typically do this unless their stomach container is too full. However, they can also produce waste if absolutely necessary, but it doesn't really happen, and I'm not even sure if they realize this is a function they are capable of. Most food is fully broken down by a self-sufficient container that releases acidic fluids and gases to break down remaining organic materials after the nutrients have been absorbed.

As for their cooling system, they have fans located underneath the components in the back of their heads. It pushes the heat out from there, as well as prevents dust from sitting too long on those little components.

They also have fans beneath their chassis in their abdomen as well, with fans and a pressure system that lets them push air out of their mouths. They have CPUs located both there and in the back of their heads, but those ones are more enclosed and heat up faster because of this. They don't have to sigh or take simulated breaths to do this, and the fans will quietly passively push the air up, but it does help.

High emotions put more pressure on their systems, resulting in their fans kicking in more and being quite audible. The CPU gets really warm when they multitask or are thinking really hard about something. It can betray their emotions, though they can regulate their fan control to an extent.

It's one of those things they may not notice is happening as well. They may not be hyper-aware that their fans are running on high if they're, say, super flustered and won't regulate them in the moment.

Oh, they also have oil that runs through wires, like blood running through veins, which they use to self-lubricate their joints. They can survive if this is cut off, but it means their self-lubrication feature is broken or not working in certain areas, or it could leak out and result in an empty tank unless it's blocked off, meaning that they'd be stuck lubricating by hand occasionally, which is fine but not as convenient. Some of it is built into the endoskeleton, similarly to how bones have actual veins and nerves, and some runs between the chassis and the endo. They can cry oil due to their eyelids having this as well (since, yes, they do have functioning eyelids, though they can permanently retract them if they wish).

Jigsaw, for example, would no longer have any of the exterior wires on his leg. Those were damaged, and he blocked the oil from spilling out and tore off any useless wires if they hadn't already been. Same with the ones on his hands and upper forearms. However, he does still have the interior ones running through the endoskeleton, which is sufficient. These do not have touch or pain receptors, since the engineers didn't see the need for this.

They also all have touch receptors. Their rays are extra sensitive. This helps with making sure they are fully retracted and detecting damage. This means it hurt a lot when Jigsaw's were damaged, though he has a high pain tolerance and wasn't as bothered as he should be. It's made to detect damage mainly when it happens, so the pain goes away fast. His rays aren't in constant pain or anything.

They can be in constant pain, though! Neither of mine has chronic pain, but they can get it if their pain receptors, or the sensor that detects pain itself, are damaged. Internal damage and damage to more important parts of the body can be very painful, since the pain is designed to get the animatronic to seek repairs immediately. Their sensors can misfire and cause extreme pain. Damage to the areas near the CPUs can cause immense pain (such as head and chest pain), and they are especially made with tons of pain receptors. They get error messages for things as well. If their internal fans are damaged, the fans themselves don't feel pain, but that's only because they already get error messages and can feel the heat. Both exterior and interior components can sense pain when damaged, but not all interior components can.

Blackout cannot shift forms. However, I will note that Jigsaw could, at one point, before Sun and Moon merged. Switching forms is also painful due to the jarring switch in systems and physical transformation. It's a lot for their body and systems to handle.

Their memories work similarly to a human's. Their systems can hold information in their databases and apply it to day-to-day life. Unlike most computers, it is capable of forgetting things, using human-like thought patterns that can remember things the more they focus on them, as their brain marks those as core thoughts/memories, while forgetting less useful things, which their system's cache will naturally phase out. This isn't even to make them more human-like. This is to manage storage sufficiently. While they do use memory drives to an extent, they are made to have a more efficient storage system, since you can imagine any storage would fill up fast with how much information is required to simply exist and experience things. Many memories just cycle throughout various CPU databases/chips consistently, slowly being filtered out if they are useless and enhanced if they are useful/meaningful to the animatronic. Tiny details of tiny things are often not stored, just like with humans. Memories only phase out once the storage is full, and the system is selective of which ones it will get rid of due to its precise algorithm. There are a few memory drives, and the data cycles through them as well, mainly to avoid complete loss if one is damaged. They can be tampered with just like any computer, but an animatronic needs to be 100% powered off.

They do have a specific skill chip, however, where they store their skills and performative functions. Pre-programmed skills (such as technological skills in Blackout's case and food prep and even cooking in Jigsaw's) were put here, but they can learn new things and store them there as well, keeping them there permanently!!

When a power surge happens while charging in a faulty station or plug-in, an animatronic can have dreams and nightmares. Normally, they do not. But the surge in data can cause this.

It's gonna appear unfinished in some spots and disjointed lol. May also change some details as I'm not 100% on board with some of em lol

I am trying to go a very detailed and technical route (figuring out what almost every part is for) since my main sona is an animatronic technician and I just like having these for extra detail XD

Main parts: Endo, Exo, hard drive, motherboard, mechanical "heart", GPU/CPU, fans, servos, voice box, lithium-ion batteries, ports, touch/heat/pressure sensors, wires, SSD card (NvMe), heatsinks, RAM, wifi, ear microphones, water facial tanks?, RGB cameras in eyes, endo, Gyroscope/MEMS chip

Titanium/silicone/faux fur

Their Endo is composed of titanium, and thier exo consists of a metal shell with a stretchy faux fur covering (Foxy and Roxy's fur is the thickest, then Bonnie, Freddy, and Chica, in that order). The Glamrocks (and Foxy) have silicone and extra servos on their faces to help make facial expressions.

Monty's main body is a metal shell, with silicone lining inside, making him more waterproof. He has faux hair on the top of his head.

All animatronics have an access panel in the front (Freddy no longer has a cake hatch). All the animatronics (save for Monty/DCA) feel kinda like those robot animal toys (think things like FurReal friends), but much higher quality/sturdy.

The circuit boards are all sprayed with a waterproof sealant (Kind of like Advanced nanoGUARD).

Ports/switches: Charging port, Off/Kill switch, USB port, USB-C, SD card slot,

Extra stuff: Charging cable (Glamrocks have wireless and wired charging),

Main computer:

(Functions: brain, storage, facial motions, voice, main coding, processing, senses, personality, balance, ect)

The main computer is located in their head, and contains the motherboard, CPU, GPU, RAM, SSD storage, MEMS chip (aka gyroscope),

It controls the entire animatronic, including the movement, calculations, thoughts, processing, ect.

The main computer is also connected to the servos on their face, and the servos controlling their eyes. Their eyes are also connected by a second cable that sends data the eye receives into the computer. Computer is also connected to the ears.

The back of the head contains an access panel to reach the computer.

You can hear a subtle servo noise when they move.

Voice box is located _______.

A single cable connects it to a battery on their endo (chest area) that powers the animatronic.

The animatronics have an oil container and oil pump in the back with dedicated channels (both outward and return) for oil through the Endo. Pump/container contains a filter. Oil helps with avoiding corrosion and wear, and cooling the parts down.

Antiwear, Corrossion inhibitor, foam inhibitor

They have sensors all over their body that sends signals to the main computer for touch, pain, temperature, and texture.

All sensors have an on/off toggle (though the DCA did not have this for a period of time).

Every animatronic (except for the DCA for a period of time) has the ability to eat. The food ends up in an artificial "stomach" made of food safe silicone with a replaceable bag liner to throw away the "eaten" food.

Mouth is lined with silicone (tongues are layered in silicone), and sensors that send signals to the main computer on taste and texture.

Breathing through nose and mouth functions as the main cooling mechanism.

Fans located _____ function by pulling cool air in and pushing hot air out.

If an animatronic isn't allowed to breathe for a long period of time, they can overheat. If they overheat too much, they will power off to cool down, and the fans will be the sole thing running.

Wires are color coded? (Black is oil, red is _____, blue is _____,

They run on a custom operating system that Fazbear made akin to Windows (though way less bogged down with bloatware). Animatronics can run offline from the Fazbear Ent. Network.

Said system includes a chat messaging system and a network system (including employee profiles, guest profiles, ect)

HUD is typically empty, but battery level, time, chat, internet connection, notes , ect can be toggled into view and/or pinned.

Unique parts: Each animatronic also has their own unique parts! Some of these are changed or altered from canon.

For Monty, instead of his claws being specialized bass claws, his are just sharper and stronger claws to represent the animal he's modelled after. Bonnie never had them. Monty also has extra waterproofing in his head's exo to protect his main components.

Bonnie's unique part is stronger microphones in his ears. He can hear MUCH better than the other animatronics, picking up on noises they can't. He can even hear things across a room.

Roxy's eyes are faster processing than the others. She notices smaller details and has faster reaction times, can track someone's speed and their approximate distance. This helps her have an advantage on the race track.

Freddy has a specialized voicebox for singing that allows him to

Chica has a specialized MEMS chip that's built specifically for helping her keep balance on roller skates.

Instead of having a functional hand on his right, Foxy has a hook, and he's coded to be left-handed. Foxy also has ____

The DCA have by far the most unique abilities exclusive to them.

The Daycare Attendant(s) have a special voicebox that also allows them to purr like a cat.

Sun and Moon also have specialized sensors to help them detect the general health of a guest (temperature, injuries, blood pressure, heart rate,)

Moon has a night vision toggle.

Sun and Moon both have retractable claws (Sun used to lack claws all together, and Moon used to be unable to retract them).

How do their rays work?

Each Glamrock's voice box can also imitate the animal they are modelled after:

Freddy can growl and roar (he's never roared before, cause he's a gentleman), Roxy and Foxy can growl/snarl and bark, Chica can squack, Monty can growl/snarl and roar like a gator,

Bonnie makes no specialized noise for his animal (purring? Chinning?)

Regular maintinence: Oil changes, surface cleaning, fan cleaning, part replacing, regular software updates, charging, filter cleaning/replacing, cleaning of internal silicone,

I think it's cute that your headcanon makes it so the DCA can purr.

I forgot to add that the DCA OCs I have also have silicone upgrades for their facial expressions and to be able to open and close their mouth.

(I love how the entire fandom is in agreement that Fazbear would have its OS for the animatronics as well XD)

YOU REMINDED ME that my DCA OCs also have specialized sensors for medical stuff. Not entirely as advanced (Blackout still has to make his own to give a full rundown of what's going on in someone's body), but advanced enough.

I think our causes of death are basically the same! Although the SSD card damage will mainly function as brain damage to mine.

Stuff like oil and silicone used to require constant updates and hardware upgrades in mine, but Fazbear Entertainment, who somehow always has the resources to make their own things, designed their own formulas to make it "less of an expense/hassle" to make things self-sufficient. With it being Fazbear, who even knows what they put in it? XD

The Glamrocks being able to imitate the animals makes sense for your headcanons, since Monty, Roxy, and Chica kinda lowkey attempt to do that at times.

I did forget one detail as well, which I keep forgetting I added in!: They also have coolant in mine!! The coolant has wires similar to the oil wires, so when an animatronic's wires get severed, it bleeds both kinds of fluids.

And yeah I also forgor to mention that my DCA can also open their mouths (though that's something they're upgraded with later on), I always prefer DCA with the ability to emote lmao.

Also I should do concept art of the OS and HUD at some point.
