“my father. have you seen charles?”

“i’m actually quite interested in earth history. it’s important for me to know.”

“and you were the leader?”

“against your will?” she asked. “i’m sorry that happened to you. i’m also afraid i’m not sure what a hydra bitch is. well, the hydra part. i do know what a bitch is.” xandra paused, unhappy with cursing so much. “xandra, yes. and you are?”

“the multiverse.” xandra nodded solemnly. “i’ve been made aware, and my father has also spoken about the matter. it seems like it’s something outside of our control. which, i have to admit, is intimidating to have within the first two years of your rule.” being vulnerable was bad, according to deathbird, but there was a lot her aunt didn’t know. if xandra wanted to succeed she had the feeling she’d need to make connections. “my advisors think it could be beneficial. i’m aware the inhumans and the mutants have not always gotten along. i hope that won’t be an issue considering who my father is.”

“I don’t know much about how Earth works. I went straight from my nursery with Cerise to my egg to the Imperial throne room. Most Shi’ar don’t have guards, though.”

They were both female rulers, although the Shi’ar Empire was infinite compared to the Inhuman people. Medusa had experience that Xandra would only ever gain through time. She needed to know more female rulers who could help her gather traits to keep those like Deathbird away. “I would not have left Chandelier if my advisors and I did not agree. You have to understand the risk of intergalactic travel.” The Majestrix canted her head to the side. “If you wish to discuss an alliance, my people are willing to engage in a conversation.”

“I’ve come to speak with an authority figure. Would that be you?”

“That’s not usually the way intergalactic foreign Royals are addressed. Let me introduce myself. I’m Xandra Neramani, Majestrix of the Shi’ar Empire.”

“Increase your security detail.”

“This is concerning and not what we would want to hear after arriving.” The Majestrix frowned. “And you have received no aid from the mutants -- from my father? Nor the Kree/Skrull Alliance?”

“Pardon?” Perhaps it was the feathers on her head that gave her alien status away.

“I’m unconcerned, but should you maim me there would be half a nation of people celebrating the vacancy on our throne and half seeking to avenge their Queen.”

“And the Inhuman’s gave you these abilities.” Xandra confirmed. “The Kree and Shi’ar have always struggled to maintain relationships in the past.”

“My sincerest apologies, Spider-man.” Xandra’s smile was small. “You are well?”
