{ For some reason I've avoided logging back on to this account for about three weeks now— Partially due to the directory closing down. However I'm a bit too stubborn to give up Won Bin just yet. Or so I hope. Though I'll be dropping all the threads I have and attempt to build him back up as an independent roleplayer }
"Well it has a more natural yet old-fashion type of bookstore feel. The one’s now seem like they’re just trying way too hard. Also, those shops have too many cliche books that disgust me." She spoke out as her fingertips grazed the different spines of books. At random, she took a book from a nearby shelf and flipped to the first page. "I hope I’m bound to find a good one. Do you have any recommendations?" Along with her question, her brow slightly arched.
He offered a ghost of a chuckle, leaning back in his seat. "Perhaps, yet they come and go and this place withstands." The male simply watched her as she went to the closest book shelf, studying, observing the books. "Depends what you feel up for, though most likely yes." He nodded, watching the book in her hand.
The lingering lock of his obsidian irises maintained their target until it was given by word of show; the lighter held up in retrieval. With it received so that his cigarette could serve its purpose and be lit for that decent smoke, Taecyeon merely blinked with the dip of his chin to nod downward in a bow. Peeling away that look he then retrieved his glass and finished the contents in it. A light chime of clicks from melted bricks of ice resonated off the glass. The toxins of alcohol would wash away quickly; especially given the mediocre amount he had already intaken as he stirred upon his stool and spun about to face the patrons who idly enjoyed themselves. His back pressing against the bar counter as his elbows rose to sit upon the sill of the bar; his head teetering to side and view the male acquaintance who he lent a lighter to; sensing the presence of smoke and building his urge to enjoy one as well.
Wasting no time he picked up a cigarette, placing the stick like object between his lips. In a trained motion he light the small flame, and lighting the cigarette. Taking a slow intake he held his breath, letting the smoke whirl around in his body. In a smooth motion he blew out the smoke, his shoulders fell and his muscles relaxes— Oh the effect of a good smoke. Once having enjoyed his first breath of smoke he grabbed the square formed object and walked over to it's owner. It didn't take him many strides before he ended up before him, holding out the lighter to him. "Thanks." Conversational skills had never been skills, at least not since arriving at the mundane world, and that hadn't changed. Done with his business, he turned around with the cigarette in his hand and headed back to his seat and drink.
Strange enough, Myungsoo had initially found interest in learning the language for one sole reason, the hopes of returning to Japan again someday. But however, in a small expanse of time he had discovered new plans, new ideas. Amazing how such a thing could happen in his life to change his view on almost everything. That desire had still been there, however. “I can see how that’s accurate.” He heaves a sigh, index finger still tapping along his lower lip as he thought.
With curious, brown eyes, he had leaned over and peered down at the book as he flipped it open. Childish was how he initially saw it, especially since it had been filled with cartoon characters, but he was a beginner after all. Perhaps if he found more interest and motivation to learn as he thought, then it would become useful in the end. “Well..” He trails off, eyebrows furrowing a bit before his features had softened once more. Helpful, he was, so he took the book from his grasp. “If it’ll help, I’ll take it. Although I’d prefer to learn this one and then come back for that one.” He wanders out loud, fingers tracing along the spine of the book in his hands. “Thank you, really.”
He nodded. "Childish, but still doesn't beat the quality of this book." The Fable couldn't help but chuckle a bit before folding his arms over his chest. Japanese was a difficult language to teach, perhaps even the most difficult out of the east asian ones yet— teaching it to someone was probably even more difficult. Well so he assumed, it had taken him some time to learn it as well, then without anyone to help him along.
"I believe it most likely will." He nodded once more, lifting a hand to draw through his dark locks as he spoke. "Of course, it's wide not to bite over more than you can swallow." He offered the younger a ghost of a smile, yet more kind than his average appearance exuded. "You're very welcome and— here." Taking a slim orange book, "workbook" slapped across it's page, he handed it to the younger. "You need somewhere to test your skills as well, they follow as a set to aid in your understanding of what you just learned." He assumed this would at least help him on the way, yet a lot of the road to learning Japanese depended on the student. How much one was willing to push oneself for the sake of learning it. "You're very welcome."

Her taste was odd, it’s something not most people would find. People wanted to leave reality in order to focus on the story in between the pages, to find hopes of dreams and fantasy. She wasn’t one of them. Naeun wasn’t the type of person to be seen around these types of locations, mainly because it never caught her eye so easily like most things. She enjoys artistic things, like smearing paint on a canvas and falling in love with what people create with two hands.
"Both. Perhaps a little more on the second idea, sounds like it suits me more." She explained, eyes wandering around the aisles towards the books that were tucked away. Curious to know what the male had in mind as she lets out a faint hum, some random song she forgotten only to remember out of the blue. "I know, odd enough I am not one of them." The female confessed softly, as if she didn’t want to disturb such a quiet area and there wasn’t many people around — or none at all. Naeun doesn’t focus so much about others mainly herself, selfish but it’s what she knows best. Brunette colored strands were cascading off of her shoulder only to drift down her back naturally once her head turns. If reading something that’ll cause her mind to overthink to the point of tears, it’ll be the choice she’s willing to take.
He nodded slowly to her words, a single title coming to mind at first. "If that's the case, follow me." The fable rose from his position, leaving behind the earlier pastime of his on the wooden counter. Stepping around the counter he motioned for the other to follow him. The many isles of books would at times appear as a maze of books, at least to first timers, such as herself, to his shop.
Making sure she had caught on he broke the silence that had fallen upon them, an inevitable silence at that. "Have you ever read something from the author Murakami Haruki?" Won Bin's head turned to his left as he began walking slower, scanning the titles in a shelf. "A very well written book about the raw feelings of youth, and all that comes with it." He lifted a slender hand, fingers tracing the spine of several books before landing on a white covered pocket book. "It's very well written, I highly recommend it." Hooking it out he brushed his palm over it once before handing it to the shorter female.
The day seemed as if it had yet to begin as the Fable trudged down the street in total solitary. With a tilt of his head, the Fable blows the grey smoke out from his lungs and finally out through his mouth. It had been a long travel, his messy hair being the evidence of it. Flicking off some ash from the cigarette, and down to the ground, he hoisted his bag further up on his shoulder.
But perhaps it was time to turn back.
His steps echoed on the concrete as he continued his way down the road. No matter where he went life would still continue, the dreadful memories coming along.
Time to go back to the harsh reality.
A sigh escaped his lips as his steps came to a halt.
Oh what a fate indeed.
She opens her mouth to spit out some stupidly witty remark about the book belonging to him but before she has a chance to the bell above the door at the front of the shop chimes again indicating the arrival of another, or was it the return of those who had entered only moments ago. Violet couldn’t be sure. “I don’t have time for games.” she whispers, letting up her hold on the book “is there a back way out of here?”
He lets out a sigh as she seemed not to back down just yet. "Nor do I." A hand reached up to rub at his temple. Was it the sound of the bell that has set off yet another panicky moment of the other? He wasn't sure but it didn't seem like he would end this without getting her out of his shop. "The best thing I can give you is a window."
"I know the area somewhat well but I forgot this shop was here." She spoke out in nonchalant tone, her eyes then gazed back to him. Jessica didn’t have much plans today so she decided to at least befriend the male but she was never the best at conversating with others. But she settled comfortable by using small talk. "Say, do you have various genres of books or only specific types?"
"It's perhaps a bit more anonymous than the rather flashy ones in the area." He mused out loud. His shop wasn't the most popular one, that was a given. But it still managed to hold a base of clientele. The Fable's eyes gazed out over his beloved shop before returning back to the female in front of him. "Various, if you search you will most likely find."
