an object from my dream last night

it was just the microwave i have in real life that someone sharpie’d a bart in. it wasn’t big, like large enough to fit a person or even be considered a “room”, yet everyone in my dream (myself included) referred to it as “the bart room”

In 1997 the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) detected a strange sound near one of its autonomous hydrophone array. The sound was made at an ultra-low frequency and picked up by underwater recording devices across the Pacific. Even being detected from recording stations that were over 5,000 km apart. The sound was dubbed as “The Bloop.”

The sound’s source was roughly triangulated to around the Oceanic pole of inaccessibility which is the ocean point farthest away from any land. By coincidence the coordinates of the sound also matched up to the coordinates given for the location of the fictional lost city of R'lyeh which appeared in the short story “The Call of Cthulhu" by H.P Lovecraft. 

NOAA’s Dr. Christopher Fox, said he did not believe the sounds origin was man-made, such as a submarine or bomb, nor a familiar geological event such as a volcano or an earthquake. Fox stated that while the audio profile of Bloop does resemble that of a living creature, the source was a mystery because it would be “far more powerful than the calls made by any animal on Earth.” Fox initially speculated Bloop to be ice calving in Antarctica, but later came to believe the sound to be likely that of an animal in origin.

In 2002, Journalist David Wolman writing for the journal, New Scientist interviewed several experts and after some analysis of the recording found the noise to be consistent with that of a large marine animal. Though no known animal could have been large enough to produce a noise of that caliber. 

The source of the sound had been studied by many since it was first recorded with some scientists such as Dr. Yunbo Xie theorizing that the angular frequency of the sound caused an alteration of waveforms causing whatever was recorded to be distorted from its original form.
