Not sure how many of you remember me, but the name’s Petal and I’m back with my new babe to give this group another go! So...here’s some facts on Torunn!
Triggers: kidnapping
born in Asgard to Thor and Sif
when she was around three years old she was kidnapped by Ulik, one of her father’s many enemies
Ulik proceeded to fake the toddler’s accidental death in order to prevent her parents from trying to find her
they, of course, searched anyway, refusing to believe their child had been truly been lost
in order to further ensure the child couldn’t be found, Ulik moved the pair of them to Midgard to remain better hidden as he proceeded to raise her
the plan was simple; raise Thor’s child to resent the man, then allow her to face him full of nothing but scorn and hatred
in order to foster this resentment, Ulik fed Torunn the following lies from the moment they reached Midgard:
her parents hadn’t wanted her and had chosen to abandon her
Ulik had found her and adopted her out of compassion for the poor child
that they had been banished from Asgard because he had gone against Thor by saving her from inevitable death
that Thor was power hungry and cruel
basically anything that put Thor in a bad light and would feed her rage towards him
when Torunn asked if she could change her name, Ulik told her to keep it as a reminder of the man who “abandoned her”
despite taking the girl in order to gain revenge, Ulik has never brought any physical harm to her
he actually borderline spoiled her growing up, as he believed it would further back up his story and help her to trust him
at this point, she really does hate Thor
as for Sif, Ulik never did much in that regard, so she’s more so bitter than outright hateful
