Worst SSO Players

This synced up bizarrely well to the music I was listening to at the time.

i'm sure others have made comments along these lines. i can accept the game's storyline shifting and being renovated, retconned as they settle into a direction they want, but i think the rough thing as a long time player is that these changes don't end & there's no forecast in sight that the story and characters will ever..'settle'. to be clear, i don't personally mind as much that teased but still unreleased parts change around even drastically in development - better that than them being in the game and then being pulled back out under you - but that isn't always the case. you can accrue understanding of the current lore, but there's nothing that assures you it won't shift majorly again in the future. it's a bit tough having played this game since 2014 and feeling like i genuinely know less about how the story now reads start to finish than people who just started yesterday, and there's no way of playing back through the altered material in the beginning without making a new account. new quest updates have been fun for me nevertheless, & i certainly like the added interactivity of things like dialogue options, but it's hard to be quite as invested in what feels now like a discontinuous thread - hard to make wacky theories, hard to really feel you've got a grasp on characters identities. it feels at times more like playing through a big WIP, always needing to be mindful of the still-wet paint.
