What's your opinion on using person's preferred pronouns?
If he/she asks me to I'll use them
Only in his/hers presence, I don't care otherwise
I don't care/whatever feels natural
I use the pronouns that line with his/hers biological sex

those w male partners on radblr i’ve always been curious about this…..what’s the situation with porn…? is he an addict are you just tolerating it or are there boundaries around that ???
people need to learn that systems invented for the purpose of oppression cannot be salvaged. everyone seems on board with hating capitalism, but that's where it ends, and i hate to tell you this, but capitalism loooves the commodification of female bodies. cough cough. porn. sex trade. making an only fans doesn't justify the living hell that is sex trafficking because you feel empowered by it now. it's rotten through and through, and it needs to be destroyed entirely.
NO JUSTICE FOR WOMEN
But I thought the #MeToo movement destroyed men’s lives 🙄 this nation is a misogynistic joke
I vote we stop calling it inflation at all. Seize the language. It's price gouging, not inflation. Inflation is a nebulous concept that invokes feeling of being too complex for the layman, a struggle as old as economy itself against a beast no one has ever truly slain.
Price gouging is the truth of it. And it makes it very clear who is to blame, and what must be done to end it.
If it was economic inflation, then the increased cost of production would reduce the profit margin. The fact that prices are increasing AND reported profits are at an all-time high means that the cause is not inflation.
I wanna take the term white feminism from all liberal crackers until they learn how to use it properly.
White feminism is not:
Trans/gender critical feminism (implying white trans people are somehow "less white" than their "cis" counterparts)
Prostitution/porn critical feminism (implying women of melanin need these dangerous industries more than other women)
What JK Rowling is doing (just because she happens to be white, also the great Alice Walker agrees with her, so)
What "pick mes" are doing (demeaning oneself for the approval of men is a multicultural activity)
Something white women can speak with any real authority on, because the term was invented by women of melanin intended to observe y'all from over here (freaks claiming it's racist to deny a white person's trans identity because historical third genders existed in a culture they don't belong to)
It is:
Feminism that prioritizes the wants of white females over the needs of all other females
Feminism that worships beauty trends that are often inaccessible to women of melanin
The current state of liberal feminism which confidently claims that I as a non trans black gender critical female hold both racial and gender privilege over white trans people

Rant
have I ever talked abt how much I hate rad fems?
I'm a feminist, don't get me wrong but the "men don't go through trauma" shite is bs. men are human, they have emotions and should 100% have access to mental health resources and feel comfortable talking about what happened to them. That is how the cycle of abuse breaks. seeking help. rad fems fcking piss me off
Ok you don't understand radical feminisim. Yes men suffer but radical feminist are busy working on alleviating womens suffering. It's a simple recognition that we are human and we don't have the time or energy to fix everything. We are focusing on women. Men are welcome and able to work on themselves I have full faith in them.
In addition to what was said above, radical feminism acknowledges that most harm done to men is by other men. Men are the primary killers and assailants (sexual and otherwise) of men. I haven’t ever seen someone claiming to be a radfem state that men “don’t have trauma”. Rather, they normally come to one of two conclusions:
1. It is not the job of feminism (activism focused on female liberation) to aid men
2. Because men are the predominant sources of men’s trauma, and because male status quo is set by men, men as a class need to help each other for change to effectively occur.
You’re confused and barking up the wrong tree. If really you want to support men - learn what afflicts them instead of what annoys them.
are some of you guys computer viruses be honest
Recognizing female human beings get oppressed for our sex isn't "being obcessed with genitals" it's just the literal conclusion of not being in blatant denial of reality
Y'all always leave the best stuff in the replies where I can't reblog it
where is that dworkin quote "by acknowledging our degradation feminists are accused of inventing said degradation"
good morning to women with big, beautiful brown eyes. the rest of you..close your eyes forever.
Profanity and Misogyny
"Motherfucker", "cunt" , "bitch", "Whore" etc. are words that are so commonly used in colloquial language that one almost forgets the nuance attached to them. In almost every language there exist a myriad of swear words that refer to the degradation of the female vagina. A woman's sex is seen as her badge of shame and if she has control over her it then she has become astray from the path of the virtue.
"To insult a man, you insult his woman". I remember awkwardly shuffling in my seat, getting very uncomfortable when male peers would call each other "motherfucker" or "cunts" so casually. A woman much older than them was reduced to her sex, a tool to insult their friends. My sex- the organ that I was born with- was a sign of weakness. If you are meek or a coward you are a "pussy". In my language, I could never find the word equivalent of vagina, for it was too sexualised to use in society. Before I was even old enough to understand the workings of my body, a organ that I had been born with was left redundant to its function to please a man-villified by porn.
"Fuck" is seen as an insult because men consider sex a defiling act that takes away the dignity of the woman. Another misogynistic implication is the term "deflowering"; having sex takes away her innocence. After sex, the woman is not a human to them but a "cunt". The sexual paraphernalia of a woman is associated with purity. There is such a huge emphasis that is put on the concept of virginity, because it brings control to the patriarchal society over a woman's autonomy.
The sexual liberation of 70s was brought as a rebellion to these norms- young women were groomed into thinking that sex is empowering. Hookup culture also emerged as an aftereffect of the sexual liberation. The politics of a woman's sex is argued all day while the male penis remains as a neutral organ despite having been a tool to oppress women.
Sex is a completely neutral act of pleasure that is neither degrading nor empowering. However, this statement would only exist in a vacuum. Men use sex as a form of violence upon women-rape is a political tool. For women to take back control of their sexual autonomy, they must acknowledge the politics of sex-or lack thereof. Selectively choosing whom you are having sex with is the first step.
I implore everyone to stop using degrading profanities that have misogynistic connotations. When others around me --especially men-- use these swear words, I ask them why their insults always involve a woman to be degraded and humiliated. Not acting as an accompalice to patriarchy, not keeping quiet against the patriarchal violence and spreading word against misogyny is the best silent mutiny.

“Never forget that it only takes one political, economic or religious crisis for women’s rights to be put in jeopardy. Those rights are never to be taken for granted; you must remain vigilant throughout your life.”
Simone de Beauvoir
there are a lot of red names popping up in the notes so I’d like to add another quote from Simone de Beauvoir:
“One is not born, but rather becomes, a woman.”
“One is not born, but rather becomes, a woman. No biological, psychological, or economic destiny defines the figure that the human female acquires in society; it is civilization as a whole that develops this product”
That’s the full sentence of the quote you chose. She says the role human females (women) are expected to fulfill in society, i.e. femininity, does not arise from differences in psychology, biology, or intellect, but rather, femininity is a result of socialization, of a social construct.
So in very simple terms: the feminine role is not natural to human females. Women are taught to occupy a specific place in society through socialization, not as a natural result of biology.
Or do you think Simone De Beauvoir, an existentialist philosopher, was actually saying men can become women?
