Apology and Announcement
Hey. I know itâs been a long time since Iâve been on this blog. Iâd be lying if I said I wasnât running away, in a way, by avoiding this for so long.
I said a lot of horrible things on this blog, and Iâm really, truly sorry. I know I can never properly apologize for the things I said. I was immature and stupid, and it turns out I was pretty deep in denial about a lot of personal things. The nature of fandom in general clashed really badly with my mental state. But thatâs an explanation, not an excuse.
Iâve learned a lot while I was away from RPing. I figured out a lot about myself, my identity, and my writing. I like to imagine that Iâve matured some, but I know I still have improvements to make.
That being said, Iâd like to return to RPing as Merlin sometime this summer. Iâll probably turn this blog into an archive and make a new blog for this as a side blog off of my current blog-cluster. Iâll keep the same url to prevent confusion. I also donât want to seem like Iâm running away from what I did anymore. If someone has a grudge against me, they should be able to avoid me.
Iâll probably be selective this time around. I get easily overwhelmed when I have too much to respond to, and I think this is the easiest solution for that. Iâll RP with friends Iâve stayed in touch with first and then see how many people I can handle from there. In all honesty, I donât think itâs fair to others to try RPing with people Iâm not comfortable communicating with until I get myself fully sorted out. This wonât be immediate since I need time to reconfigure how Iâll handle Merlin, but Iâm hoping to do it soon-ish.
